A handle for use with a power tool includes a handle body, a beam and a weight. The handle body includes a mounting part and a grip part. The handle body is configured to be removably secured to a tool body of a power tool. The grip part is formed in an elongated hollow shape. The beam is supported by the handle body in a cantilever manner and extends within the grip part. The weight is supported by the beam.

A power tool effectively isolates vibration with an auxiliary handle having no structure for isolating vibration. A power tool to which an auxiliary handle is attachable includes a housing, a nut held on a side surface of the housing to be screwed with the auxiliary handle, and an elastic member between the housing and the nut.

A hand-held tool, such as a disc grinder, is used to perform work at a high work site, a countermeasure is taken to prevent the hand-held tool from falling by using a suspension tool, such as a tether strap. If a coupling part that couples the suspension tool to the hand-held tool is damaged, this fact is notified to a user. Thereby, an original function of the suspension tool can be reliably performed. If a large impact is applied to a coupling member via a suspension tool, the coupling member is displaced to a second position, due to the deformation of a first position retaining member. A conductive portion disengages from contacts to cause a power circuit to be shut off, thereby prohibiting a main body part from being activated.

A side handle can be toollessly positioned on a tool body, and is attachable to power tools of multiple models and is highly versatile. A side handle is attachable to a side surface of a tool body included in a power tool. The side handle includes a rotation locking member attachable to the tool body in a manner of being restricted from rotating, and an operable portion operable to lock and unlock a position of the side handle relative to the rotation locking member.
