A foldable device includes a flexible display including a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion disposed between the first portion and the second portion; and a body including a first support portion which supports the first portion of the flexible display, a second support portion which supports the second portion of the flexible display, and a third support portion which supports the third portion of the flexible display. The third support portion includes a first rotation axis which connects the first support portion to the third support portion, and a second rotation axis which connects the second support portion to the third support portion.

Foldable device

A portable device having a display, the display including a main surface area, a first curved surface area extending from a first side of the main surface area, and a second curved surface area extending from a second side of the main surface area that is opposite the first side, a sensor configured to detect a state of the portable device, and a controller configured to control the display to display a user interface (UI) on one of the first curved surface and the second curved surface based on the state detected by the sensor.

A foldable device includes a flexible display including first, second, and third portions; a body including first, second, and third support portions which respectively supports the first, second, and third portions; a hinge including a first rotation axis which connects the first support portion to the third support portion, and a second rotation axis which connects the second support portion to the third support portion; and a slot hole which is rotatably coupled with the first and second rotation axes, and which moves the first rotation axis and the second rotation axis when the first support portion and the second support portion rotate with respect to the third support portion. A foldable device and a method of controlling the same are provided. The foldable device includes: a flexible display which includes a main display area and an edge display area; and a controller which is configured to determine, based on an angle at which the foldable device is unfolded, a range of a partial activation area of the main display area, wherein the range of the partial activation area is partially bounded by a boundary between the edge display area and the main display area.

Foldable device and method of controlling the same
