A display includes a light guide plate, a first optical adhesive, a light source element, and a display panel. The light guide plate includes a light guide substrate and an enhancement layer disposed on the light guide substrate. At least a portion of the enhancement layer is interposed between a first surface of the light guide substrate and the first optical adhesive. A difference between the refractive index nof the light guide substrate and the refractive index nof the at least a portion of the enhancement layer is Δn. Δn=n−n. A difference between the refractive index nof the first optical adhesive and the refractive index nof the at least a portion of the enhancement layer is Δn. Δn=n−n, Δn≥0, Δn≥0, and Δn≥Δn.

Display and front light module including enhancement layer

A front light module configured to be disposed on a display panel to illuminate the display panel is provided. The front light module includes a light source and a light guide plate. The light guide plate has a first surface facing away from the display panel, a second surface facing the display panel, and a light incident surface facing the light source. The light incident surface connects the first surface and the second surface. The first surface has multiple sets of optical micro-structures. Each of the sets of the optical micro-structures includes multiple optical micro-structures disposed or distributed asymmetrically.

Front light module including plurality of sets of microstructures

A light source device includes a light guide plate, an optical adhesive, and a light source element. The light guide plate includes a light guide substrate and an enhancement layer. The light guide substrate has a light incident surface, a first surface, and a second surface. The first surface is opposite to the second surface, and the light incident surface extends between the first surface and the second surface. The enhancement layer is disposed on the light guide substrate. A thickness of the enhancement layer is from 1 micrometer to 25 micrometers and a first refractive index of the light guide substrate is greater than a second refractive index of the enhancement layer. The optical adhesive is interposed between the first surface of the light guide substrate and the optical adhesive. The light source element is disposed beside the light incident surface to emit light toward the light incident surface.

Light source device including enhancement layer and display including the same

A display device has two flat regions and a bending region located between the two flat regions. The display device includes a reflective display device, a cover structure, and a light guide plate. The cover structure is located above the reflective display device. The light guide plate is located between the reflective display device and the cover structure. The light guide plate has a microstructure, and the microstructure is located on a top surface of the light guide plate close to the cover structure. The microstructure has a plurality of second microstructures located at the bending region, and the sizes of the second microstructures vary along with the distances between the second microstructures and a center position of the light guide plate.

Display device and light guide plate

The holder is suitable for a display apparatus, where the display apparatus includes a light guide plate and a display panel. The light guide plate includes a light emitting portion and a curved portion connected to the light emitting portion, and the display panel has a bottom surface and a side surface connected to the bottom surface. At least one part of the holder is attached to the side surface of the display panel, and the holder is wrapped with the curved portion of the light guide plate.

Display apparatus and holder thereof

A light guide module suitable for being disposed on a reflective display panel includes a light guide plate and a light-shielding part. The light guide plate has a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and an optical structure formed in the first surface. The first surface has a display area and an edge area surrounding the display area, and the optical structure is distributed in the display area. The light-shielding part is disposed on the first surface and covers the edge area, in which the light-shielding part has an opening exposing the display area.

Reflective display apparatus and light guide module

A lighting module includes a circuit board, a light emitting diode, a light guide plate and a glue material. The light emitting diode is disposed over the circuit board, and the light emitting diode includes a light emitting side surface and a non-light emitting side surface. The light guide plate is substantially parallel to the circuit board, and a portion of the light guide plate is disposed over the circuit board and adjacent to the light emitting side surface of the light emitting diode. The glue material covers and is in contact with the non-light emitting side surface of the light emitting diode and the portion of the light guide plate.

Lighting module and display device

To control chroma and brightness in a backlight module, a plurality of reference values of a plurality of monochromatic light beams are provided, and a brightness reference value is provided for the light formed of the monochromatic light beams. Then, a plurality of first light signals of the monochromatic light beams, and a second light signal of the light formed of the monochromatic light beams are sensed and compared with the reference values and the brightness reference value, respectively. Finally, the monochromatic light beams outputted by the plurality of LEDs is calibrated according to a comparison result of the plurality of first light signals with the plurality of reference values and a comparison result of the second light signal with the brightness reference value.
