An abnormal-voltage protection apparatus includes a switch unit, a voltage detection unit, and a delay time control unit. The switch unit is coupled to a power supplying path formed between an AC power source and a load. The voltage detection unit detects the AC power source and provides a detection signal. The delay time control unit is coupled to the voltage detection unit and the switch unit, and receives the detection signal and provides a control signal to the switch unit according to the detection signal. When the voltage detection unit detects that the AC power source changes from an abnormal voltage to a normal voltage, the delay time control unit turns on the switch unit by the control signal after a delay time so that the AC power source supplies power to the load through the power supplying path.

Abnormal-voltage protection apparatus and method of operating the same

An over-voltage protection apparatus includes an input voltage detection module () and a second switch (). The input voltage detection module () includes a switch assembly (), a rectifying circuit (), a voltage detection circuit (), and a voltage protection circuit (). The rectifying circuit () rectifies an AC power source (Vac) to generate a DC voltage (Vb). The voltage protection circuit () controls the second switch () to disconnect the AC power source (Vac) to supply a load () when the voltage detection circuit () detects that the DC voltage (Vb) reaches to a first over voltage value (Voth). The voltage protection circuit () controls the switch assembly (), thereby providing a voltage-limiting protection and a current-limiting protection when the voltage detection circuit () detects that the DC voltage (Vb) reaches to a second over voltage value (Voth).

Over-voltage protection apparatus and method of operating the same

A cooling system of a server with an AC power source and a DC power source includes an AC input subsystem, a DC input subsystem, and a driving control subsystem. The AC input subsystem receives an external AC power source and provides a first DC voltage and a second DC voltage. The DC input subsystem receives an external DC power source and provides a third DC voltage and a fourth DC voltage. When the external AC power source normally works, the driving control subsystem controls the first DC voltage and the second DC voltage to supply a high-voltage cooling apparatus and a low-voltage cooling apparatus, respectively. When the external DC power source normally works, the driving control subsystem controls the fourth DC voltage and the third DC voltage to supply the high-voltage cooling apparatus and the low-voltage cooling apparatus, respectively.
