An audio system includes a headset and a control device. The headset includes a housing, a speaker and a microphone. When the headset is mounted on an ear, the housing is configured for forming a cavity along with an external auditory canal of the ear. The speaker and the microphone are disposed in the housing. The control device is coupled to the headset. The control device is operable to provide a reference audio signal to the speaker to be broadcasted toward the cavity, further to receive a sampled sound signal through the microphone corresponding to a reflection of the reference audio signal from the cavity, further to calculate an acoustic intensity distribution curve over frequencies from the sampled sound signal, and further to determine whether the cavity has a leakage outlet according to the acoustic intensity distribution curve over frequencies.

Audio system with conceal detection or calibration

An embodiment of the invention provides a noise cancellation method for an electronic device. The method comprises: receiving an audio signal; applying a Fast Fourier Transform operation on the audio signal to generate a sound spectrum; acquiring a first spectrum corresponding to a noise and a second spectrum corresponding to a human voice signal from the sound spectrum; estimating a center frequency according to the first spectrum and the second spectrum; and applying a high pass filtering operation to the sound spectrum according to the center frequency.

Noise cancellation method

A response compensation method, an electronic device and a computer recording medium are provided, where the method is adapted to an electronic device having two non-coplanarly disposed speakers and includes the following steps. A stereo audio signal is respectively high-pass filtered and low-pass filtered followed by sound-field processing to generate a modified high-frequency right-channel signal, a modified high-frequency left-channel signal, a modified low-frequency right-channel signal, and a modified low-frequency left-channel signal. The modified high-frequency right-channel signal and the modified low-frequency right-channel signal are outputted to the first speaker, and the modified high-frequency left-channel signal and the modified low-frequency left-channel signal are outputted to the second speaker, where the modified high-frequency right-channel signal and the modified high-frequency left-channel signal are outputted diffusely by the two speakers, and the modified low-frequency right-channel signal and the modified low-frequency left-channel signal are outputted centrally by the two speakers.

Frequency response compensation method, electronic device, and computer readable medium using the same

An apparatus and a method for sound recording are provided. The apparatus stores an equalizer and includes a housing, a microphone, and a processor. The microphone includes a plurality of sensors and receives a sound signal through an acoustical resonator in the housing. The microphone generates a plurality of electronic signals in response to the sound signal. The equalizer generates a plurality of equalized signals according to the electronic signals. The processor generates an output signal according to the equalized signals. The equalizer compensates the gain margin and the phase margin caused by the sound signal passing through the acoustical resonator in order to prevent the output signal from being affected by resonance of the sound signal in the acoustical resonator.

An electronic apparatus and a method for providing a sound system of the electronic apparatus are provided herein. The electronic apparatus has a housing, a speaker and a bracket. The housing has a space and a channel, which is coupled to the space. The speaker is placed in the space. The bracket has a first end coupled to the channel and is movable relative to the housing. A sound mode of the electronic apparatus may be switched from a first mode to a second mode by positioning a second end of the bracket from a first position in the channel to a second position away from the channel.

An audio signal measurement method for a speaker and an electronic apparatus having the speaker are provided. The electronic apparatus further has a processing circuit and a power amplifier. The processing circuit is coupled to the speaker and configured to execute a time domain to frequency domain transform according to a voltage value of an audio signal and a current value of current feedback from the speaker so as to obtain a frequency response curve. The power amplifier is coupled to the speaker and configured to drive the speaker according the voltage value of the audio signal. The processing circuit is capable of determining whether the frequency response curve is located within a predetermined area such that the processing circuit generates a signal when the frequency response curve is located out of the predetermined area. Thereby, the electronic apparatus may measure its transducer distortion and acoustic box leakage.
