The present disclosure describes a semiconductor device and methods for forming the same. The semiconductor device includes nanostructures on a substrate and a source/drain region in contact with the nanostructures. The semiconductor device also includes a gate structure that includes first and second portions. The first portion is formed between each nanostructure of nanostructures. The second portion is formed under the bottom-most nanostructure of the plurality of nanostructures and extends under a top surface of the substrate.

Semiconductor devices having parasitic channel structures

A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device includes forming a plurality of work function metal layers and an oxygen absorbing layer over a channel region of the semiconductor device, including forming a first work function metal layer over the channel region, forming an oxygen absorbing layer over the first work function metal layer, forming a second work function metal layer over the oxygen absorbing layer. A gate electrode metal layer is formed over the plurality of work function metal layers. The work function metal layers, oxygen absorbing layer, and gate electrode metal layer are made of different materials.

An apparatus for manufacturing a semiconductor device may include a chamber, a chuck provided in the chamber, and a biased power supply physically connected with the chuck. The apparatus may include a target component provided over the chuck and the biased power supply, and a magnetron assembly provided over the target component. The magnetron assembly may include a plurality of outer magnetrons and a plurality of inner magnetrons, and a spacing between each adjacent magnetrons of the plurality of outer magnetrons may be different from a spacing between each adjacent magnetrons of the plurality of inner magnetrons.

A portable computing device including a central processing unit (CPU) and a controller is provided. The controller is coupled between the CPU, a graphics processing unit, and a battery module. The controller determines whether to adjust performance of the CPU and the graphics processing unit according to at least one of a battery capacity, a battery power, a battery current, a battery voltage, or a battery temperature of the battery module.

The present disclosure provides a power allocating system, including adapters and an electronic device. Each of the adapters includes a processor. The electronic device includes a controller. The controller obtains rated information and current output information from each of the processors to calculate an output utilization rate of each of the adapters. The controller transmits at least one adjusting signal to at least one of the processors according to the output utilization rates to adjust the output utilization rate of the adapters.

A method of fabricating a trimmed fin includes: forming a preliminary fin including silicon and germanium protruding from a substrate, in which the preliminary fin has a first germanium concentration at a top surface of the preliminary fin and a second germanium concentration at a position beneath the top surface of the preliminary fin, and the first germanium concentration is less than the second germanium concentration; oxidizing an exposed surface of the preliminary fin to form a trimmed fin covered by an oxide layer; and removing the oxide layer to obtain the trimmed fin.

Method of fabricating trimmed fin and fin structure

A multiport connector and a power control method are provided. The multiport connector comprises a power output port and multiple power input ports. The power output port is connected to an electronic device. The power input ports are connected to multiple power adapters to form multiple power transmission paths. Each power transmission path comprises a power line, a detecting circuit and an impedance component connected to the detecting circuit in series. Therefore, when the electronic device is connected to the multiport connector, the electronic device detects the equivalent impedance formed by the impedance components on the detecting circuits to adjust an upper limit of load power.

The present disclosure provides a semiconductor device in accordance with some embodiments. The semiconductor device includes a substrate; a gate stack over the substrate. The gate stack includes a ferroelectric layer; a first dielectric material layer; and a first conductive layer. One of the first dielectric material layer and the ferroelectric layer is electrically charged to form a charged layer with fixed charge. The semiconductor device further includes source and drain features formed on the substrate and disposed on sides of the gate stack.

Negative capacitance field effect transistor with charged dielectric material

A charging system includes a transmission line, a power adaptor, and an electronic device. The transmission line includes a first terminal and a second terminal. The power adaptor is coupled to the first terminal and generates a charging voltage and a first voltage signal. The charging voltage is at a first voltage level. The electronic device is coupled to the second terminal and receives the first voltage signal. When the first voltage signal is larger than a first preset voltage signal, the electronic device outputs a second voltage signal to the power adaptor. When the second voltage signal is larger than a second preset voltage signal, the power adaptor adjusts the charging voltage into a second voltage level.

Charging system and charging method thereof

A battery includes a casing and a plurality of cell coils. The casing includes a bottom and a top, the bottom or the top surface of the casing are not symmetrical with each other and the multiple cell coils are placed in the casing and are electrically connected to each other. Each of the cell coils includes a positive node, a negative node and an insulation sheet, and the insulation sheet is between the positive node and the negative node. An outer diameter of the cell coil changes along with the shape of the casing. A manufacture method of a battery is provided.

Battery and manufacture method thereof

A power adaptor is provided. The power adaptor includes a voltage converter, a connecting port, a first transformer and a controller. The voltage converter receives an input voltage and determines whether to convert the input voltage to an output voltage according to an indicating signal. The first transformer includes a primary side and a secondary side. The primary side and the secondary side are coupled to each other, and a first end and a second end of the secondary side are coupled to the connecting port, respectively. The controller generates the indicating signal according to a voltage at the primary side of the first transformer. The connecting port is used to connect to an electrical device, and when the connecting port is electrically connected to the electrical device, a first end and a second end of the secondary side are short to a reference ground end of the secondary side.

Power adaptor

A battery module and an overcharge protecting method are provided. The overcharge protecting method includes following steps: detecting a battery voltage of a rechargeable battery during a charging process; determining whether the battery voltage is larger than or equals to an upper limit voltage; if no, continuously charging the rechargeable battery until the battery voltage reaches a charging cut-off voltage and then the charging process is ended; if yes, stopping the charging process, reducing the value of the charging cut-off voltage and using the reduced charging cut-off voltage as the charging cut-off voltage in the next charging process. In the subsequent charging process, once the overcharge occurs, the value of the charging cut-off voltage is continuously reduced until the overcharge of the rechargeable battery does not occur during the charging process.

Battery module and overcharge protecting method thereof

A power supply system of an electronic device and a power supply method thereof are provided. Directly detecting the power voltage, when a power anomaly of the power voltage is detected, the electronic device may enter the energy-saving mode immediately for reducing power consumption, and a required DC voltage may be provided directly from the battery.
