The invention encompasses therapeutic compositions including Globo H-KLH conjugates and/or therapeutic antibodies as well as methods of making and using the same to treat proliferative diseases such as cancer. The therapeutic conjugates include an antigen linked to a carrier. In particular the therapeutic conjugates include a Globo H moiety and a KLH moiety and/or a derivatized KLH moiety subunit optionally linked via a linker. The therapeutic compositions are in part envisaged to act as cancer vaccines for boosting the body's natural ability to protect itself, through the immune system from dangers posed by damaged or abnormal cells such as cancer cells. An effective immune response is one that reduces the severity of disease, including but not limited to, prevention of disease, delay in onset of disease, decreased severity of symptoms, decreased morbidity and delayed mortality.

Compositions of a carbohydrate vaccine for inducing immune responses and uses thereof in cancer treatment

The present invention provides vaccines comprising carbohydrate antigen conjugated to a diphtheria toxin (DT) as a carrier protein, wherein the ratio of the number of carbohydrate antigen molecule to the carrier protein molecule is higher than 5:1. Also disclosed herein is a novel saponin adjuvant and methods to inhibit cancer cells, by administering an effective amount of the vaccine disclose herein.

An approach is disclosed herein for balancing layer densities in using an automated process. The approach disclosed herein operates on a region-by-region and layer-by-layer basis to perform parameterized layer balancing. In some embodiments, the process comprises determining densities of respective layers in respective regions, evaluating each layer and region to determine whether operations need to be taken to balance those layers in the corresponding regions, determining what those actions should be, and then implementing those actions. Additionally, in some embodiments, the process may operate in different orders and may be associated with a looping flow until a layout being processed has been balanced.

A method includes: sensing a portion of a human body to generate a series of image frames by an optical sensing element; determining a complexion region from each of the image frames; then calculating a central coordinate of the complexion region; determining a sample block by expanding a surrounding range from the central coordinate, for getting a complexion fluctuation waveform; comparing the central coordinate with a central coordinate of a later image frame, to calculate a displacement in a unit time for determining whether the portion of the human body is in a static state. In the static state, an operating unit performs noise filter and peak detecting for complexion fluctuation waveform, and calculates a physiological signal. The method can reduce the amount of data required to be processed in physiological signal detection, and improve the accuracy of the detection.

A superimposition device of virtual guiding indication and reality image includes at least an image capturing device, a processor, a graphic processing unit (GPU), and a display device. The image capturing device captures reality image including instant scene. The processor receives the reality image and obtains height variation information. The GPU performs image correction processing on the reality image to obtain corrected image, generates updated transformation matrix according to the height variation information, and performs inverse perspective projection transformation by using the updated transformation matrix to generate bird's-eye view image of the corrected image and superimposes virtual guiding indication on the bird's-eye view image and performs perspective projection transformation on the bird's-eye view image to transform the bird's-eye view image into three-dimensional (3D) navigation image which includes the guiding indication. The display device displays the 3D navigation image which superimposes the virtual guiding indication into the reality image.

A contactless detection method with noise elimination is applied to measuring the information of physiological and physical activities. It includes following steps: sensing a human body to generate an image by an image sensor; capturing a physiological signal from the image; tracing a feature point of the human body in the image to generate a physical activity signal; and calculating information of physical activities covering step count, speed and calories according to the physical activity signal and the physiological signal. In particular, the contactless detection method treats the physiological signal cooperated with the physical activity signal to separate a noise from the physiological signal, so as to generate an ideal physiological signal. Therefore, the physiological information is calculated more accurately according to the ideal physiological signal.

A an optical module integrated package includes a substrate, a light-receiving chip mounted in a light-receiving region of the substrate, an electronic component mounted in the substrate, a cover mounted on the substrate and having a light-receiving chip disposed above the light-receiving hole, and a lens fixedly mounted in the light-receiving hole of the cover. Thus, the optical module integrated package not only have the chip and the electronic component integrated therein to reduce the packaging cost and to improve the yield but also provide a light filtering, focusing or diffusing effect to enhance optical recognition accuracy.

Surveillance systems with a plurality of cameras and image processing method thereof are provided. Based on a plurality of images captured by the plurality of cameras, some of the images are translucentized with other images and the other images are stitched with each other according to the space geometrical relations of cameras. The benefit of the surveillance system is that monitoring the field surveilled by each camera is no longer necessary to watch each image separately.

This invention relates to an optical module package structure. A substrate is defined with a light receiving region and a light emitting region. A light receiving chip and a light emitting chip are disposed on the light receiving region and the light emitting region of the substrate, respectively. An electronic unit is disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the light emitting chip. Two encapsulating gels are coated on each of the chips and the electronic unit. A cover is disposed on the substrate and has a light emitting hole and a light receiving hole, located above the light emitting chip and the light receiving chip, respectively. In this way, the package structure of the optical module of the present invention integrates passive components, functional ICs or dies into a module, and the optical module provides the functions of current limiting or function adjustment.

An optical module package includes a substrate having a recessed portion, a cover covered on the substrate and defining with the substrate a first chamber and a second chamber therebetween, the cover having a light-emitting hole disposed in communication with the first chamber, a light-receiving hole disposed in communication with the second chamber and a stop wall positioned in the recessed portion to separate the first chamber and the second chamber, a light-emitting chip and a light-receiving chip mounted at the substrate and respectively disposed in the first chamber and the second chamber, and two encapsulation colloids respectively mounted in the first chamber and the second chamber and respectively wrapped about the light-emitting chip and the light-receiving chip. Thus, the optical module package not only can prevent crosstalk but also can greatly reduce the manufacturing cost and the level of difficulty.
