A docking station for a mobile electronic device is provided. It utilizes a transmission unit and a release unit to control the positioning of a connection unit. The transmission unit includes a horizontal displacement member abutted against a floating cover for horizontal displacement upon a downward movement of the floating cover, and a pivot member mounted at the connection unit and connected to the horizontal displacement member, so that the connection unit can connect the mobile electronic device upon a downward movement of the floating cover. The release unit includes a swing arm connected with the pivot member and a button abutted against the swing arm. When the button is pressed, the swing arm is pushed to drive the connection unit to disengage from the mobile electronic device via the pivot member. Thus, the mobile electronic device can be removed.

Docking station for a mobile electronic device and operating method for the same

A supporting structure and a docking station using the same are provided. The supporting structure includes an elastic member, a sliding member, a lifting element and a damper. The sliding member having an inclined plane is connected to the elastic member. When the elastic member receives a force, the elastic member forces the sliding member to move along an axis line with the inclined plane facing to the lifting element. The lifting element is arranged over a travel path of the inclined plane and has an abutting portion. When the lifting element receives another force so that the abutting portion abuts against the inclined plane, the sliding member stops moving and the height position of the lifting element is fixed. The damper is mated with the sliding member to slow down the velocity of the sliding member.

Supporting structure and docking station using the same

An angle-adjustable support includes a base, a carrier and a pivot mechanism. The base includes a sidewall and a bottom. The sidewall has a first pivot and a second pivot. The pivot mechanism pivotally connects the carrier with the base. The pivot mechanism has three working states. The carrier is locked when the pivot mechanism works in a first working state. The carrier is capable of pivoting relative to the base in a clockwise or anticlockwise when the pivot mechanism works in a second working state. The carrier is free to rotate when the pivot mechanism works in a third working state.

Angle-adjustable support with pivot mechanism

An apparatus includes a casing and a latch unit. The latch unit includes first and second latch members, first and second interlocking members, a driving member, and an operating member. The first latch member is provided on a disk drive. The first interlocking member is formed on the first latch member. The second latch member is pivoted to the casing, and is rotatable relative to the casing between latched and unlatched positions. The second interlocking member is formed on the second latch member, and engages releasably the first interlocking member when the disk drive is received in the casing and when the second latch member is disposed at the latched position. The driving member is pivoted to the casing. The operating member is pivoted to the casing, and is operable so as to drive rotation of the second latch member to the unlatched position through the driving member.

Apparatus for mounting removably a disk drive in an electronic device

The removable hard disk housing assembly includes a housing substrate, a hard disk supporting frame, a rotatable handle, a supporting piece, two plates-liked elements and two springs. The hard disk supporting frame is connected with the housing substrate to support a hard disk. The rotatable handle is positioned at the front side of the housing substrate. The supporting piece is rotatably positioned at the housing substrate. The plates-liked elements are movably positioned within the housing substrate and are pulled by supporting piece and protrude and retract in respond to movement of the supporting piece. Two springs are positioned between the plate-liked elements and the housing substrate and are used to bias the plate-liked elements. It prevents the hard disk from falling off when the assembly is subjected to external forces. The assembly is fixed by two extension portions so that force used to fix the assembly is well distributed.
