A vehicle seat includes an internal support member for supporting a seat occupant. The internal support member includes a main body in plate or sheet form positioned within a seat cushion frame and first and second mounting portions engaged by first and second cross members of the seat cushion frame. A pressure sensor is mounted on a part of an upper surface of the internal support member which is closer to the first cross member than the second cross member. The main body of the internal support member is formed with a pair of openings positioned on either side of a central longitudinal line. A sensor mounting portion supporting the pressure sensor is defined between mutually adjoining edges of the openings. The first mounting portion includes a central first mounting piece which is positioned laterally centrally and has a greater width than the sensor mounting portion.

Vehicle seat having internal support member

A vehicle seat includes an armrest having a body provided with a recessed portion recessed toward a widthwise inward direction of the seat in such a manner as to surround a shaft member, and a hook member attached to a distal end of the shaft member and fitted in the recessed portion. The hook member includes a presser portion for pressing a skin layer of the armrest with the skin layer gripped between the presser portion and the body of the armrest, a baggage engagement portion extending from the presser portion in a widthwise outward direction of the seat for hooking engagement with the baggage, and a flange portion located at a distal end of the baggage engagement portion and extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to an axis of the shaft member for preventing the baggage from displacing off the hook member.

The present invention provides a vehicle seat including: a seatback frame that includes a pair of an outer side frame portion and an inner side frame portion and a lower frame portion; a tilting shaft that supports the seatback frame at a position below the lower frame portion; and a first load transfer block that transfers an impact load input from a side portion of the vehicle body to the seatback frame, wherein the vehicle seat further includes a plate-shaped rigid member of which an upper end is connected to the lower frame portion and an inner end in the vehicle width direction is connected to the inner side frame portion in the vehicle width direction, and wherein a lower edge of the plate-shaped rigid member extends to at least a height position of the tilting shaft.

A seat back frame for the vehicle seat, includes a pair of side frames that are disposed on both sides in a seat width direction; and a supporting plate that has both ends connected to a bottom section of each of the side frames, wherein the supporting plate is at least disposed along an interval between a first height that corresponds to an upper part of a lumbar vertebra of an occupant seated in the seat and a second height that corresponds to a lower part of the lumbar vertebra, and curves in a manner such that, in a cross-section along with a vertical direction, the supporting plate bulges forward along a line from the first height to the second height.

Seat back frame for vehicle seat

A seat slide position detection device for a vehicle includes a lower rail attached to a vehicle floor. The lower rail has one side and another side opposite to the one side in the width direction. The one side includes a side surface and an upward wall portion extending upward along the side surface. An upper rail is supported by the lower rail and slidable with respect to the lower rail in the longitudinal direction of the lower rail. A detection target portion is provided in the upward wall portion of the lower rail in a predetermined range in the longitudinal direction of the lower rail. A position sensor is disposed at the upper rail between the upper rail and the upward wall portion to face the detection target portion.
