A filling apparatus of irregular-formed vessels having an intermittent swinging table (,) disposed above a continuous rotation table (,) and having a plurality of filling nozzles (,) at a same pitch as the vessel holding pitch, filling means for pushing out the liquid from the filling nozzles (,), vertical moving means for vertically moving the filling nozzles (,), a continuously rotating outside hollow shaft (,) to which the continuous rotation table (,) is mounted, a hollow shaft (,) disposed concentrically with the outside hollow shaft (,) for reciprocally rotating the intermittent swinging table (,).

A cylindrical plug (,) attached to a pouchy container proper capable of varying shape as passed through the container proper (,) in such a manner that one terminal side thereof is positioned inside the container proper (,) and the other terminal side thereof positioned outside the container proper (,). This plug comprises a split pipe (,) joined to one terminal side of the plug and divided into two halves along the longitudinal direction thereof so as to be provided with interstices (,) intercommunicating between the inside and the outside and a joint plate (,) for integrally coupling one and the other half of the split pipe. It, therefore, secures a path for air or liquid during the aspiration of the liquid from the interior of the container proper (,). When the container proper (,) happens to develop negative pressure, the plug prevents the path for the liquid from being blocked owing to the flexibility of the container proper (,), precludes the occurrence of a dead space for stagnating liquid in the upper part of the container proper (,), and enables the split pipe (,) to retain the shape and the strength thereof.

In a packaging technique for resiliently deformable articles (such as paper diapers or sanitary napkins), a stack of the articles are packed into a shell-like, inner cassette having an open top and bottom, the inner cassette is wrapped from above with a sheet of film having cardboard flaps extending from respective opposite side margins thereof and the stack of articles is ejected from the inner cassette through the open top, together with the sheet of film into an outer cassette which maintains the partly packed profile. Lower, trailing, flap-form ends of the wrapping extend below the stack on two opposite sides of the cassette, forming flaps that are subsequently folded in overlapping relation to cover the exposed bottom of the stack of articles and heat-sealed together and transversely extending margins of the sheet of film are folded and heat-sealed against the cardboard ends to form a package of predetermined shape.

Method and apparatus for packaging resiliently deformable articles

The present invention relates to an apparatus for filling bags with a material and for sealing them, and it can carry the bags in a direction of a bag thickness. A first feature of the present invention resides in that, in the case that the bags are arranged between a pair of chain conveyors disposed in parallel vertical planes, they are gripped by plural pairs of grippers mounted on a pair of axes extending through each rectangular parallelepiped carrier. Further, A second feature of the present invention is that the apparatus according to the present invention is equipped with nozzles for introducing a compressed gas into the bags and pressure gauges for measuring a pressure within the bags in order to detect whether or not each bag is normally gripped by the grippers. Furthermore, another feature of the present invention is that a return pipe is fixed to a filling device so that the filling material may be returned to a storage tank, without being discharged therethrough, by closing the filling nozzle. Still another feature of the present invention is that seal bars for sealing the bags are covered with a heat-resistant cloth, and the cloth is sent out in turn to maintain uniform sealing conditions.

Apparatus for filling bags

The present invention relates to an apparatus for filling bags with a material and for sealing them, and it can carry the bags in a direction of a bag thickness. Apparatus for sealing filled bags

An improved sterilizing system for filled and sealed articles which are treated by way of the steps of filling a content into packing means and sealing the filled articles in a filling and sealing station, loading a tray with the filled and sealed articles, building up a tray stack including a predetermined number of loaded trays stacked thereon, sterilizing the tray stacks in a sterilizer and then conveying them to a packing station, wherein the improvement consists in an arrangement of a combination of a tray stack building station for building up a tray stack including a predetermined number of empty trays recovered after the filled and sealed articles are released toward the packing station, a tray stack holding conveyor for holding a plurality of tray stacks built up in said tray stack building station and a tray extracting station in which the empty trays are extracted from the tray stack conveyed from said tray stack holding conveyor one by one and then they are delivered toward the filling and sealing station. The sterilizing system further includes a tray stack holding conveyor having an ample holding capacity, said tray stack holding conveyor being located downstream of the sterilizer. The sterilizing system may be provided with an additional line of conveyance system including a sterilizer which is arranged in parallel to the aforesaid line of conveyance system including the sterilizer.
