The present invention relates to an insulator to be disposed in an armature core having a plurality of radially-formed salient poles. The insulator comprises a winding aligning portion having an approximately V shape (forming an angle of 60 degrees) and getting narrower from an outer side to an inner side in a radial direction of the armature core approximately at the middle between the salient poles to position a winding disposed at a first layer which is a most inner side in the radial direction of the armature core approximately at a middle between the salient poles. By this structure, it is possible to align the windings on the second layer and beyond, thereby preventing a dig-in and the like of the windings and hence preventing faulty insulation between the windings.

Insulator, armature and rotary electric machine

An electric rotating machine and a fan motor for vehicle are obtained, wherein variation width of current waveform resulting from occurrence of coils in a short circuit state is narrowed to reduce vibration and noise. A commutatorof the fan motor for vehicle comprises twelve segments, and a pair of positive/negative brushes are press-contacted to the commutator. Among the segments, at least one of pairs of segments that the brushes simultaneously contact have mutually different pitches. Therefore, timing when the coil in the short circuit state occurs at an armature and timing when the coil is released from the short circuit state of one brush deviate from those of the other brush temporally. Accordingly, the variation width of current waveform of electric current supplied to the coil connected to the pair of segmentsnarrows at least. As a result, the vibration of the electric rotating machine, variation of rotating torque, and the noise are considerably reduced, and life thereof is thus extended as well.

Dynamo-electric machine and fan motor for vehicle

A support structure for a drive source such as a motor of the blower is disclosed in which the generation of noise caused by the vibration of the motor is suppressed. The flange of a support member has a low-stiffness portion having a thickness smaller than a high-stiffness portion of the same flange. The low-stiffness portion is thus vibrated more easily than the high-stiffness portion. When the motor vibrates, therefore, the vibration rate of the low-stiffness portion increases beyond that of the high-stiffness portion, so that the low-stiffness portion vibrates considerably. The motor vibration is thus absorbed by the flange (support member) and the transmission of the motor vibration to a casing can be suppressed. As a result, the area of the sound source of the blower is decreased as a whole, thereby making it possible to suppress the generation of noise caused by the vibration of the motor.

Support structure for drive source

A bearing device for a rotary shaft is comprised of a porous sliding bearing and a felt ring fit around the sliding bearing. The sliding bearing and the felt ring are filled with lubricant oil. The felt ring is made of needle-punching polypropylene fibers of 0.4-20 micrometers in diameter. The felt ring is manufactured by shaping the polypropylene fibers into a felt sheet, heat-treating the felt sheet to eliminate fuzz from the sheet surfaces, and punching the felt sheet in a ring shape. The sliding bearing has a plurality of grooves on its outer peripheral surface with which the felt ring contacts. Each groove is formed to extend in a horizontal direction to restrict the lubricant oil from flowing downward.
