A stent delivery device includes a distal-side tube having a guide wire lumen; a proximal-side tube whose distal portion is fixed to a proximal portion of the distal-side tube; a cylindrical member which encloses a distal side of the distal-side tube and is slidable toward a proximal end of the distal-side tube; a stent accommodated in the cylindrical member; and a pulling memberfor moving the cylindrical member toward a proximal side of the stent delivery device. The distal-side tube has a proximal-side opening which is open at the proximal side of the distal-side tube; and a stent-locking portion for preventing the stent from moving to the proximal side of the stent delivery device. The outer diameter of the proximal-side tube is set smaller than that of a portion, having a maximum diameter, which is disposed in a region of the stent delivery device which is distal from the proximal-side tube.

Stent delivery device

A self-expandable stent includes axially arranged wavy-line annular bodies having a first shared linear portion and a second shared linear portion on one end side, a third shared linear portion and a fourth shared linear portion on the other end side, a first bent linear portion coupled with the first and third shared linear portions, a second bent linear portion coupled with the third and second shared linear portions, a third bent linear portion coupled with the second and fourth shared linear portions, and a fourth bent linear portion coupled with the fourth and first shared linear portions. Two of the four bent linear portions have a first equal number of bends and a common form at inversion, and the other two of the four bent linear portions have an equal number of bends different from the first equal number of bends and a common form at inversion.

Self-expandable stent

A stent is formed as a substantially tubular body possessing an outer diameter suitable for insertion into an organism, with the body being expandable when a radially outwardly directed expansion force is applied from inside the tubular body. The stent is fabricated from an alloy containing at least two noble metals selected among gold, platinum, silver, and copper, with the alloy possessing a density of not less than 14 g/cm, a proof stress of not less than 300 MPa, and a elongation-to-break of not less than 20%.

Biological organ dilating stent and method of manufacturing the same

A stent to be implanted in an organism includes a plurality of wavy annular members arranged in an axial direction thereof. Each of the wavy annular members has a plurality of one-end side bent portions each having an apex at a one-end side of the stent in the axial direction thereof and a plurality of other-end side bent portions each having an apex at an other-end side of the stent in the axial direction thereof. In the wavy annular members disposed adjacently to each other in the axial direction of the stent the wavy annular members disposed at the one-end side of the stent in the axial direction thereof has a sharing linear portion having a start point at the apex of one of the other-end side bent portions thereof or in the vicinity of the apex and a termination point between the apex of the other-end side bent portion thereof and the apex of one of the one-end side bent portions thereof. The sharing linear portion integrates the adjacent wavy annular members with each other.

Flexible stent

A stent () to be implanted in an organism includes a plurality of wavy annular members () arranged in an axial direction thereof. Each of the wavy annular members () has a plurality of one-end side bent portions each having an apex () at a one-end side of the stent () in the axial direction thereof and a plurality of other-end side bent portions each having an apex () at an other-end side of the stent () in the axial direction thereof. In the wavy annular members disposed adjacently to each other in the axial direction of the stent, the wavy annular members () disposed at the one-end side of the stent in the axial direction thereof has a sharing linear portion () having a start point () at the apex () of one of the other-end side bent portions thereof or in the vicinity of the apex () and a termination point () between the apex () of the other-end side bent portion thereof and the apex () of one of the one-end side bent portions thereof. The sharing linear portion () integrates the adjacent wavy annular members with each other.

A stent, to be implanted in a human body, is made of a super-elastic metal which is formed approximately cylindrically and integrally and which shows super-elasticity before and after said stent is inserted into said human body. The stent has a plurality of annular parts (expansion element) deformable in a direction in which an outer diameter thereof contracts, when a stress is applied thereto and a plurality of connection parts (connection element) each connecting said adjacent annular parts to each other, with said annular parts arranged in an axial direction of said stent. Each of said annular parts is elastically deformable owing to super-elasticity thereof, whereas each of said connection parts is substantially a plastically deformable part not super-elastic entirely or partly.

Stent to be implanted in human body and method of producing stent

A stent includes a plurality of annular expanding members arranged a predetermined distance apart from each other in the axial direction of the stent and each formed of a waved element, and a plurality of waved connecting members connecting the ridges and/or bottoms of the waved elements of adjacent annular expanding members. The plural annular expanding members are arranged in the axial direction of the stent such that no substantial phase difference exists between the waves of the waved element. Each waved connecting member has a plurality of waves including a wave positioned in the clearance between the adjacent annular expanding members and having an amplitude larger than that of the other wave. Also disclosed is a stent in which the expanding member is formed of a waved element arranged to surround spirally the longitudinal axis of the stent.

A stent has a plurality of wavy annular members each formed of a narrow wavy element and arranged in the axial direction thereof; and a plurality of connection portions each connecting the adjacent wavy annular members to each other axially. The connection portion located in the vicinity of the axial center of the stent is weaker than other constituent parts of the stent and can be broken. That is, an inflating balloon catheter can be inserted into the stent such that the inflating balloon catheter penetrates through a side wall of the stent from its interior after the stent dilates radially. The connection portion can be broken by inflation of the balloon of the inflating balloon catheter.

Implanting stent and dilating device

A stent in the form of a generally tubular member has a diameter allowing for insertion into a body passageway and is radially expandable upon application of an outward force. A series of annular units are axially arranged to construct the stent. Each annular unit includes a plurality of generally ellipsoidal or polygonal elements equiangularly arranged around the stent axis, the elements being axially elongate and having a center opening. A tie member connects opposed ends of adjacent elements. Adjacent annular units are interconnected at their tie members by a connecting member.

Implanting stent

A stent having long-term antithrombogenicity and radiopacity whose location and geometry can be radiographically confirmed is provided. The production method is also provided. The stent of the invention has an antithrombogenic agent covalently bonded on it surface, and the antithrombogenic agent is immobilized onto the stent surface through coupling agent having at least two amino groups and a crosslinking agent having at least two aldehyde and/or epoxy groups. The stent of the invention also has a radiopaque metal plated on at least a part thereof.

Radiopaque, antithrombogenic stent and method for its production

One embodiment of a stent includes a cylindrical openwork frame having holes defined by side frame segments and middle frame segments, and notches defined by the side frame segments. This stent is made of a super elastic metal as a single piece without an abrupt change in the physical property of the stent. Another embodiment of the stent is made of wires in the shape of a substantially circular cylinder. The wires forming the stent are made thicker in the middle portion and thinner in both end portions. A stenosis-treating device includes an indwelling stent, a tubular sheath which holds the stent in a compressed state, a balloon catheter which is passed through the sheath and which has a dilatation balloon, and a projection at the rear of the portion of the sheath in which the stent is held which comes into contact with the rear end of the stent when the sheath is moved rearward and lets the stent out of the front end of the sheath.

Expandable stent for implanting in a body

A tubular body for reducing the rate at which a fluid flows to a predetermined rate with a resistance in a flow control device of a pressure measuring system, includes a tubular member having an axis along which the fluid can flow therethrough, and a land projecting radially inwardly from an inner wall surface of the tubular member. The tubular member and the land are integrally formed as a unitary structure, the land having an orifice extending along the axis of the tubular member. A method of manufacturing the tubular body, and a flow control device incorporating the tubular body are also disclosed.

Method of making a tubular body

A disposable pressure transducer for measuring fluid pressure, which includes a sensor assembly in a housing. The housing includes a fluid chamber and a sensor-accommodating chamber which are formed integrally with each other. The sensor assembly comprises: a sensor chip for converting pressure into an electrical signal; an insulating board on which the sensor chip is mounted and which is provided with an integrated-circuit for processisng an output signal of the sensor chip so that an external measuring device can read the signal; a cylindrical coupling lid which is bonded to the board in such a manner as to surround the sensor chip and which is fitted into a communication through-hole which provides communication between the fluid chamber and the sensor-accommodating chamber of the housing; a pressure-transmitting medium charged into the interior of the coupling lid so as to provide electrical insulation between the fluid chamber and the sensor chip; and an electrical cable connected to the board and electrically connected to the external measuring device.
