While a first coating gunis being moved along a peripheral edge portionof one surface of a multilayer glass panelhorizontally placed on a first worktable, the first coating gundischarges a molding material to coat the peripheral edge portionwith the molding material over its entire length, molding a glazing gasketthereon. An inverting mechanisminverts the multilayer glass panelwith the molded glazing gasketsuch that the other surface of the multilayer glass panelfaces upwardly. Then, a second coating gunis moved along a peripheral edge portionof the other surface of the multilayer glass panel, which is horizontally placed on a second worktable, and simultaneously discharges a molding material to coat the peripheral edge portionwith the molding material over its entire length, molding a glazing gasketthereon.

Method of and apparatus for molding glazing gasket onto multilayer glass panel

In a molding material installation method, an adhesive is separated into an upper side and a lower side from an application nozzle. The adhesive that has been separated on the lower side is applied to the surface of a multilayer glass panel. The adhesive that has been separated on the upper side is applied to a bottom surface of a glazing gasket molding material. The adhesive that has been separated on the upper side is placed on the adhesive that has been applied to the surface of the multilayer glass panel so that the glazing gasket molding material and the adhesive that has been separated on the upper side are applied to the adhesive that has been applied to the surface of the multilayer glass panel.

Molding material installation method and installation apparatus and application nozzle

A molding materialfrom an extruding machineis fed by a molding material feed pumpto a molding material discharge pump, which discharges the molding material from a coating gunto a peripheral edge portionof a multilayer glass panel. The rate at which the molding materialis discharged from the coating gunis adjusted by controlling the rotational speed of the molding material discharge pumpdepending on the relative speed between the multilayer glass paneland the coating gun. An amount of molding material, which is commensurate with the difference between the rates at which the molding materialis fed to and drawn into the molding material discharge pump, is circulated through a flexible circulation hoseto the extruding machine
