Embodiments include methods of fabricating a zeolite-like metal-organic framework with an ana-topology (ana-ZMOF) thin film membrane, the methods comprising: (1) modifying a substrate with ana-ZMOF crystal precursors in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone; and (2) intergrowing the ana-ZMOF crystal precursors in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone to form a continuous defect-free thin film of an ana-ZMOF intergrown on the substrate. Embodiments further include methods of separating chemical species comprising contacting an ana-ZMOF thin film membrane with a fluid composition containing one or more chemical species and separating at least one of the chemical species.

Use of polyvinylpyrrolidone in the preparation of ana-ZMOF thin film membranes for separation processes

Metal-organic frameworks for capturing one or more of SO, CO, and HO are disclosed herein. Non-limiting examples of metal-organic frameworks include NbOFFIVE-1-Ni and AIFFIVE-1-Ni, among others. The metal-organic frameworks can be used in applications for removing and/or sensing one or more of SO, CO, and HO from a fluid composition or an environment, either of which can proceed under dry or humid conditions and/or at room temperature.

Trace and low concentration COremoval methods and apparatus utilizing metal organic frameworks

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a metal-organic framework (MOF) composition comprising a plurality of metal clusters, wherein the metal is chromium; and one or more tetratopic ligands; wherein the metal clusters and ligands associate to form a MOF with soc topology. A method of making a MOF comprising contacting a template MOF of formula Fe-soc-MOF and a reactant including chromium in a presence of dimethylformamide sufficient to replace Fe with Cr and form an exchanged MOF of formula Cr-soc-MOF. Chromium-based metal-organic frameworks for water adsorption-related applications and gas storage

Embodiments of the present disclose provide a method of sorbing one or more compounds from a fluid, wherein the method may include contacting a M-soc-MOF composition with a fluid containing at least HS and one or more of COand CH; and sorbing at least HS from the fluid. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a membrane that may include a metal-organic framework (MOF) composition, wherein the MOF composition includes a M-soc-MOF composition, where M is a metal and soc is a square-octahedral topology, and wherein the M-soc-MOF composition is a continuous thin film on a support.

Metal organic frameworks for gas separation applications

Embodiments provide a method of compound removal from a fluid. The method includes contacting one or more metal organic framework (MOF) compositions with a fluid and sorbing one or more compounds, such as CO, HS and condensable hydrocarbons. One or more of CO, HS and condensable hydrocarbons can be sorbed simultaneously or in series. The metal organic framework can be an M-soc-MOF.
