The present invention relates to a gingerol derivative having inhibitory activity against biofilm formation and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating infections caused by biofilms including the gingerol derivative as an active ingredient. The gingerol derivative of the present invention exhibits significantly improved binding affinity for LasR and inhibitory activity against biofilm formation. Therefore, the gingerol derivative of the present invention can act on various membrane surfaces where biofilms tend to form and can effectively inhibit the formation of the corresponding biofilms. In addition, the use of the pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention can fundamentally prevent or treat a variety of infections caused by biofilms due to the presence of the gingerol derivative in the pharmaceutical composition.

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating allergic diseases such as asthma or atopy including baicalein as an active ingredient. Baicalein is capable of regulating thymic stromal lymphopoietin-mediated signal transduction. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention can effectively suppress inflammatory responses of allergic or asthmatic diseases due to the presence of baicalein extracted from Scutellariae Radix that regulates TSLP-mediated intracellular signal transduction to inhibit intracellular phosphorylation of STATS and inhibit the binding of TSLP to TSLPR. In addition, the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention may further include one or more compounds having synergistic effects with baicalein. In this case, the pharmaceutical composition can more effectively suppress inflammatory responses of allergic diseases such as asthma or atopy.

The present invention relates to a novel quinolinone derivative compound that regulates intracellular signal transduction mediated by TSLP and IL-33 to exhibit efficacy in preventing or treating allergic diseases such as asthma or atopic dermatitis. The quinolinone derivative compound of the present invention can effectively suppress inflammatory responses of allergic diseases such as asthma or atopic dermatitis. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition including the quinolinone derivative compound. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention can be used to fundamentally prevent or treat various allergic and asthmatic diseases.

Disclosed are 4-substituted-2-(5-substituted-1H-indol-2-yl)phenol derivatives for controlling the proliferation and migration of kinase-overexpressed cells. The phenol derivatives are represented by Formula 1:  wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, a cyano group, a trifluoromethyl (CF) group, an amidine (C(&#x2550;NH)NH) group, and a 5-methyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole group, Y is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, a phenyl group substituted with one or two substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, methoxy, nitro, trifluoromethyl, and aminomethyl, CO&#x2014;R', COOR&#x2032;, OH, O&#x2014;R&#x2032;, and NH&#x2014;R&#x2032;, each R&#x2032; is independently selected from the group consisting of C-Calkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, and &#x2014;Z-alkyl (wherein Z is a heteroatom selected from the group consisting of O, S, and N or is &#x2014;(CH)&#x2014;), and m is an integer from 0 to 5. Also disclosed are methods for preparing the phenol derivatives and pharmaceutical compositions for inhibiting cell proliferation and migration including the phenol derivatives. The phenol derivatives and the pharmaceutical compositions can effectively inhibit the proliferation and migration of kinase-overexpressed cells and can be used for the prevention or treatment of various solid cancers and metastatic cancers.

The present invention relates to a peptide derivative for regulating the thymic stromal lymphoid protein-mediated signaling and a pharmaceutical composition including the peptide derivative for preventing and treating allergy and asthma diseases and, more particularly, to a peptide derivative represented by Chemical Formula 1 and a pharmaceutical composition including the peptide derivative for preventing and treating allergy and asthma diseases. According to the present invention, provided are a peptide derivative capable of effectively inhibiting the formation of an inflammatory response of allergy and asthma diseases and a pharmaceutical composition including the peptide derivative. By using the present invention, various allergy and asthma diseases can be fundamentally prevented or treated.
