An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit, a first indoor unit having a first indoor heat exchanger connected to the outdoor unit, a first intake duct connected to an inlet opening of the first indoor unit, a first air supply duct guiding air discharged from an outlet opening of the first indoor unit to indoor room, a second indoor unit having a second indoor heat exchanger connected to the outdoor unit, a second intake duct connected to an inlet opening of the second indoor unit and a second air supply duct guiding air discharged from an outlet of the second indoor unit to indoor room. The first indoor heat exchanger and the second indoor heat exchanger include a moisture absorption layer.

An air conditioning system having an auxiliary heat source is provided and that may include an outdoor unit, an indoor heat exchanger connected to the outdoor unit, the indoor heat exchanger including a temperature sensor, an auxiliary heat source arranged as an auxiliary to the outdoor unit and operated by an energy source different from an energy source of the outdoor unit, a thermostat configured to control a temperature of an installation space supplied with cold air or warm air by the outdoor unit and the auxiliary heat source, and a communicator. The communicator may include an input unit connected to the thermostat, a first output unit connected to the auxiliary heat source, a second output unit connected to the outdoor unit, and a controller configured to process signals between the input unit, the first output unit, and the second output unit.

Air conditioning system and method for controlling air conditioning system

An air conditioner may include a heat exchanger having a first cooling coil and a second cooling coil inclined toward each other, an inlet formed between a lower end of the first cooling coil and a lower end of the second cooling coil to allow air to pass through, an inside air duct through which air introduced to the inlet flows, an air supply duct through which the air passing through the heat exchanger flows, a fan causing air passing through the heat exchanger to flow, and a temperature sensor sensing a temperature of the air introduced into the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a plate positioned between the first cooling coil and the second cooling coil. The plate may have a sensor insertion hole into which the temperature sensing device is inserted. By measuring the temperature of the air introduced into the heat exchanger, more accurate control information may be provided.
