A display apparatus includes a display panel, a data driver, a power saving mode determiner, a power voltage control signal generator and a power voltage generator. The data driver is configured to output a data voltage to the display panel. The power saving mode determiner is configured to determine a driving mode selected from a power saving mode and a normal mode based on a risky display quality condition. The power voltage control signal generator is configured to generate a power voltage control signal determining a level of a power voltage based on the driving mode. The power voltage generator is configured to generate the power voltage based on the power voltage control signal and to output the power voltage to at least one of the display panel and the data driver.

An electronic device includes a display panel which includes a plurality of pixels and displays an image at each of multiple frames, a driving circuit which drives the multiple frames at multiple operating frequencies, a voltage generator which provides a voltage to the display panel, and a drive controller. The drive controller includes a representative frequency calculator which calculates a representative frequency, based on operating frequencies of 'n' number of frames before one frame of the multiple frames, and a compensating signal calculator which outputs a compensating signal, based on the representative frequency and a count number in the one frame. The drive controller transmits the compensating signal to the voltage generator, the voltage includes a reference voltage, the voltage generator generates the reference voltage based on the compensating signal, and the voltage generator provides the reference voltage to each of the plurality of pixels.

A display device includes a display panel which displays an image during a plurality of driving frames, a panel driver which drives the display panel, and a driving controller which controls a driving operation of the panel driver. The driving controller divides the display panel into a first display area and a second display area based on an image signal. A display device, which is a slidable display device, includes a display panel and a data driver. Display device and method of driving display device

A driving controller divides a display panel into first and second display areas according to an operation mode, outputs a start signal indicating a start of one frame and a masking signal for indicating a start of the second display area, sets a basic driving frequency to a normal frequency when the operation mode is a normal frequency mode, sets the basic driving frequency to a frequency lower than the normal frequency when the operation mode is a multi-frequency mode, and outputs the start signal and the masking signal. The first display area operates at a first driving frequency and the second display area operates at a second driving frequency, and the scan driving circuit sequentially drives scan lines in synchronization with the start signal, and stops, in response to the masking signal, driving of some of the scan lines corresponding to the second display area.

A display device includes a display panel that includes a first display area and a second display area, a data driving circuit which drives a plurality of data lines, a scan driving circuit which drives a plurality of scan lines, and a driving controller which controls the data driving circuit and the scan driving circuit such that the first display area is driven at a first driving frequency, and the second display area is driven at a second driving frequency lower than the first driving frequency during a multi-frequency mode, where the driving controller receives an image signal and provides to the data driving circuit an image data signal obtained by compensating for a gamma level of the image signal corresponding to the second display area during the multi-frequency mode.
