A sense amplifier includes a sense amplifying unit, first and second isolation units, and first and second offset cancellation unit. The sense amplifying unit includes a first P-type metal-oxide-semiconductor (PMOS) transistor, a second PMOS transistor, a first N-type metal-oxide-semiconductor (NMOS) transistor, and a second NMOS transistor. In a layout of the sense amplifier, the first and second PMOS transistors are disposed in a central region of the sense amplifier, the first and second NMOS transistors are disposed at opposite sides of the sense amplifier from each other, the first isolation unit and the first offset cancellation unit are disposed between the first PMOS transistor and the first NMOS transistor, and the second isolation unit and the second offset cancellation unit are disposed between the second PMOS transistor and the second NMOS transistor. In other layouts, the locations of the PMOS transistors and NMOS transistors may be reversed.

Disclosed herein are a highly porous ceramic having a high porosity of not less than 60% and a pore density of not less than 10pores/cmfabricated from expandable microspheres and a preceramic polymer, and a method for fabricating highly porous ceramic. The method for fabricating highly porous ceramic from expandable microspheres and a preceramic polymer comprises the steps of: homogeneously mixing a preceramic polymer powder and expandable hollow microspheres, if necessary, a ceramic powder, and molding the mixture to form a molded body; heating the molded body to expand it; curing the expanded molded body; and pyrolyzing the cured molded body. Since the highly porous ceramic has a higher porosity and pore density than conventional porous ceramics, it can be suitably used for various high temperature structure materials, kiln furniture, bulletproof materials, shock-absorbing materials, insulating materials, refractory materials, lightweight structure materials, etc.

Highly porous ceramics fabricated from preceramic polymer and expandable microspheres, and method for fabricating the same

Microporous ceramic materials used in structural materials, high-temperature filters, electrode materials or preform materials for infiltration by homogeneously mixing and molding a ceramic precursor powder polymer. The powder is saturated by introducing fluid to a pressure vessel. The fluid is super saturated by adjusting pressure in the vessel. Micropores are formed in the molded bodies by evolving the fluid from the molded bodies by heating and hardening the molded bodies. The hardened molded bodies are heated to pyrolysis. Pore characteristics (e.g., pore size and pore size distribution) suitable to target materials are controlled by adjusting pressure at a non-critical state without requiring additional processes or devices.

Microporous ceramic materials and the producing method of the same

A sintered material based on silicon nitride for use in preparing cutting tools is provided. This material is prepared by sintering a mixture of silicon nitride containing 2-10 percent by weight of yttrium oxide, 1-5 percent by weight of aluminium oxide and 10-40 percent by weight of titanium carbide coated with titanium nitride under hot pressing or sintering followed by hot isostatic pressing at an elevated temperature ranging from 1600.degree. C. to 1800.degree. C. The coated titanium carbide in the form of powder can be formed by depositing a film of titanium nitride on the surface of titanium carbide in the presence of gaseous titanium tetrachloride, hydrogen and nitrogen under the partial pressure of 0.1 to 0.5 atmosphere at 1000.degree. C. to 1500.degree. C. The material can endow the cutting tools with higher toughness and strength and longer life.
