Display device and manufacturing method thereof

A software updating system based on differential updating for reducing the size of updating data and a method of controlling the same are provided. The method includes acquiring differential data between an original image and an updating image for each of a plurality of updating target controllers included in a vehicle. Then low-ranking differential data is acquired in at least one stage between differential data for each of the plurality of updating target controllers and a plurality of differential combinations are generated for all of the plurality of updating target controllers. An optimum combination of the plurality of differential combinations is then determined and updating data is generated depending to the optimum combination.

Software updating system and method of controlling the same

A display device includes a substrate including a display area, a non-display area, a first additional area connected to the non-display area at a first boundary, and a second additional area connected to the first additional area at a second boundary, pixels on the display area, an encapsulation film on the pixels, electrodes on the encapsulation film, pads on the second additional area, sensing wires connecting the electrodes and the pads, a first sensing insulating film on the encapsulation film, and a second sensing insulating film on the first sensing insulating film. A display device includes a substrate having an active area, a visible region located on the active area, and a non-visible region farther from the active area in a first direction than the visible region is; a first conductive layer disposed on the substrate; a first insulating layer disposed on the first conductive layer; a second conductive layer disposed on the first insulating layer; a first via layer disposed on the second conductive layer; a second insulating layer disposed on the first via layer; and a third conductive layer disposed on the second insulating layer and including touch signal lines. The visible region includes a line area where the second conductive layer is disposed, and a line-free area where the second conductive layer is not disposed. The third conductive layer includes a dummy pattern disposed in the line-free area and has a width greater than the touch signal lines.

A display device includes: a display unit including a flat part and a curved part which is formed to be bent from sides of the flat part; a sensing unit on the display unit to overlap with the flat part and the curved part; and a passivation layer on the sensing unit, wherein the passivation layer overlaps with the flat part and the passivation layer does not overlap the curved part.

A method and apparatus configured for updating vehicle software using over-the-air (OTA) may include extracting first format difference data and second format difference data, corresponding to a first format and a second format of an update target software image, respectively, comparing the first format difference data and the second format difference data, determining a format of difference data as a transmission target, based on the comparison result, and transmitting the determined format of difference data to an update target vehicle terminal through a wireless network. Accordingly, it is advantageous to minimize the amount of transmitted data while vehicle software is updated using OTA.
