A vehicle having a drive motor is provided. The vehicle includes a controller that changes the inclination of a drive motor torque command based on a demand torque of a driver or a temperature of a drive motor. A motor controller then operates the drive motor to change the motor torque changes based on the inclination of the motor torque command.

A method for preventing takeoff of a motor velocity of a hybrid electric vehicle, may include checking whether an engine clutch is disengaged while an engine and a motor are simultaneously driven, checking whether a command of motor torque is zero when the engine clutch is disengaged, and checking whether the motor velocity is normal while the command of the motor torque is zero, wherein when the motor velocity abnormally increases as a result of checking whether the motor velocity is normal, the motor torque is corrected to be zero.

Method for preventing takeoff of motor velocity for hybrid electric vehicle

A method for controlling a hybrid starter and generator (HSG) is applied to an eco-friendly vehicle. The method includes HSG torque-output limiting control, and in particular, the HSG torque-output limiting control is divided into an HSG regeneration mode and an HSG driving mode in which output limitation of the HSG 3 is performed after torque limitation of the HSG 3. Furthermore, the HSG regeneration mode includes: a former regenerative torque output control in which an engine RPM is converted by a controller 10 into regenerative torque output of the HSG 3 for about 1 second when an engine starts idling to charge a battery, and a latter regenerative torque output control in which the engine RPM is converted into the regenerative torque output of the HSG 3 after 1 second to about five seconds to continue to charge the battery, and an HSG driving mode.
