An ESD structure in an LCD module mounting structure in a terminal for mounting an LCD module on the inner surface of a case frame to be exposed through an opening of a predetermined size formed on the case frame. In the ESD structure, an EMI shielding is formed to be electrically connected to a main board of the terminal and grounded by coating EMI spray all over the inner surface of the case frame including a part of an overlap between the inner surface of the case frame and the LCD module. At least one through hole penetrates from the inner surface to the outer surface of the case frame at an appropriate portion of the overlap. Conductive means electrically connects the inner surface of the through hole to the EMI shielding. Therefore, externally introduced static electricity is actively grounded inside the terminal along the through hole.

Electro-static discharge structure for terminal with LCD module

A portable computer using a stylus for power control comprises a main body of the computer contained in a housing and provided with a stylus-holding means, a stylus for inputting data, and a means for detecting the combination and separation of the stylus and for controlling power supply to a system unit. The detecting and controlling means consists of a signal-generating unit and a power control unit. The signal-generating unit is positioned in the main body so as to detect the combination and separation of the stylus and generate a signal. The power control unit controls power supply to the system unit in response to the signal.

Portable computer using a stylus for power control

An apparatus for supplying auxiliary power to a portable electric device includes a casing, a battery removably accommodated in the casing, a winding unit winding and unwinding an electric wire through which electric power from the battery is supplied to the electric device, rotating forward and backward in the casing, and a contact member provided in the winding unit, including a movable contact electrically connected to the electric wire, and a secured contact electrically connected to the battery and constantly contacted with the movable contact. With this configuration, there is provided an apparatus for supplying auxiliary power to portable electric devices, which can be promptly connected to the portable electric devices and supply electric power thereto, and is convenient to carry.
