Provided are an organic light emitting diode and a method of manufacturing the same. The organic light emitting diode adjusts an optical resonance thickness and prevents spectrum distortions without use of an auxiliary layer. The organic light emitting diode includes a first electrode that is optically reflective; a second electrode that is optically transmissible and faces the first electrode; an organic emission layer interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, the organic emission layer including: a first emission layer including a mixed layer that contains a host material and a dopant material, and a second emission layer comprising only the host material; and a carrier injection transport layer interposed between the organic emission layer and the first electrode or between the organic emission layer and the second electrode.

Organic light emitting diode and method of manufacturing the same

A top-emitting organic light-emitting device (OLED) including a reflective first electrode layer; a semitransparent second electrode layer facing the first electrode layer; and an organic layer between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, wherein the organic layer comprises a first layer, a second layer, and an emission layer between the first layer and the second layer, wherein the sum of the thicknesses of the emission layer and the second layer is about 0.15 to about 0.30 times the thickness of the entire organic layer. The top-emitting OLED may have high efficiency, and thus driving voltage may be reduced.

Top-emitting organic light-emitting device

A blue organic light emitting device is provided. The blue organic light emitting device comprises a first electrode; a second electrode; and an organic layer including an electron transport layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the electron transport layer includes a material having an energy gap of 2.8 eV or more between a highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and a lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO).
