The present application discloses an image formation apparatus that can transfer an image into electronic paper using an electronic photography method, and a printing control method for the image formation apparatus. The present electronic paper comprises an electrophoresis layer for displaying an image using an electrophoresis method, a conductive layer, and a film layer for transmitting an image; and the image formation apparatus comprises a communication interface for receiving printing data, an image formation unit for transferring an image corresponding to the printing data, and a processor for controlling the image formation unit.

A developing unit includes a toner storage portion for containing toner and a development portion for containing the toner supplied from the toner storage portion. The development portion includes a developing roller for supplying the toner to a photosensitive body, a supply roller and an auxiliary supply roller. A bubble removing apparatus for removing air bubbles in ink to be supplied to a printer head of an inkjet printer and a method of removing the air bubbles are provided to provide a smooth flow of ink to the inkjet printer head. When an air bubble removing operation is performed, ink in an ink tank is moved towards the printer head through a filter unit by operating the pump in a forward direction, and the ink that has moved towards the printer head is returned to the ink tank through the filter unit by operating the pump in a reverse direction. Air bubbles trapped in the filter unit are moved to the ink tank due to the operation of the pump in the reverse direction and are removed in the ink tank by the gravitational force, and thereby a smooth flowing ink supply can be provided to the printer head.

A printhead assembly, an image forming apparatus and an ink supply unit supply color inks to a plurality of printheads which are arranged in a direction transverse to an advancing direction of a printing medium. The ink supply unit may include a first channel member to receive different color inks, a second channel member engaged with the first channel member to divide each of the supplied color inks to a plurality of sets of first unit channels corresponding in number to the plurality of printheads, and a third channel member engaged with the second channel member. A plurality of second unit channels of the third channel member may supply each of the color inks being supplied from the first unit channels to each of the printheads. A support plate may be used to support the first, second, and third channel members in a stack structure.

An array printhead and an image forming apparatus having the same. The array printhead includes a first member, a second member, and a third member. The first, second, and third members sequentially overlap and couple to each other. The first member supplies ink of different colors to the second member and the second member separately receives the ink of different colors supplied from the first member and allows the ink to flow to the third member. The third member includes a plurality of head chips. A plurality of supply grooves are formed in a side of the third member on which the plurality of head chips are mounted. The plurality of supply grooves includes a plurality of supply holes that provide the ink of different colors supplied from the second member to the plurality of head chips. The plurality of supply holes are located on an axis different from axes of other adjacent supply holes with respect to a direction perpendicular to a width direction of a print medium.

Array printhead and inkjet image forming apparatus having the same

An array printhead and an inkjet image forming apparatus having the same are include a first member, a second member, a third member, and a support member. The first through third members and the support member sequentially overlap and couple to each other. The first member supplies ink of different colors into the second member and the second member separately receives the ink of different colors supplied from the first member. The third member includes a plurality of head chips that eject ink supplied from the second member thereon and the support member fixes the first member, the second member, and the third member using a plurality of coupling elements.

Array type printhead and inkjet image forming apparatus having the same

An ink cartridge and an inkjet printer using the same. The ink cartridge includes a cartridge case having an ink storing space, negative pressure forming foam inserted into the cartridge case, and a filter pipe installed on a bottom surface of the cartridge case, wherein the bottom surface of the cartridge case is formed to be entirely in contact with a bottom surface of the foam. Thus, a dead space around the filter pipe is minimized or eliminated, therefore solving a problem where the ink would otherwise remain to a certain extent in the dead space. In addition, the air existing in the dead space together with the ink does not affect the ink ejection performance of a head due to expansion and shrinkage of the air to stably maintain the ink ejection performance.

Ink cartridge and inkjet printer using the same

A cartridge body partitioned into foam chambers and ink chambers and having a first welding part and a second welding part, a lid having a third welding part engaged and welded with the first welding part of the cartridge body and a fourth welding part formed on the bottom thereof in which the second welding part is inserted. Ink heads provided on the bottom of the cartridge body eject ink, and ink filters provided on upper sides of the ink heads to prevent foreign materials or bubbles from flowing in. The first welding part has a first section horizontally protruded in cross-section and a second section vertically protruded to the first section, and the third welding part has a third section vertically protruded, a fourth section horizontally protruded, and a fifth section in a diagonal cross-sectioned shape connecting the third section and the fourth section. The second welding part has a vertical rectangular shape in cross-section, and the fourth welding part has a concave groove formed in which the second welding part is inserted.

Ink cartridge

An ink cartridge includes ink chambers storing ink, a sealing member sealing the ink chambers provided with ink injection openings injecting ink into the ink chambers and air inflow openings through which the ink chambers communicate with an outside of the ink chambers, a cover member forming air inflow passageways between the air inflow openings and the outside of the ink chambers in cooperation with the sealing member and sealing the ink injection openings, an ink blocking part first blocking the ink from being discharged through the air inflow passageways in cooperation with the air inflow openings, and an ink storage part storing the ink passing through the air inflow openings and the ink blocking part to prevent the ink from being discharged through the air inflow passageways. The ink cartridge is provided with the ink blocking part and the storage part, so that suppression of ink evaporation is maximized, and the air inflow passageways maintaining a negative pressure are prevented from being clogged with flowing-back ink caused by shocks or movements of a printer during carrying of the printer or an external temperature rise, or with an inflow of minute dust and so on.

An ink cartridge includes a main body containing an ink absorbent body at an inside thereof and filled with ink, an ink head chip disposed at a lower portion of the main body to spray the ink onto a printing paper, an ink feeding pipe disposed at an inside of the lower portion of the main body to feed the ink in the main body to the ink head chip, and a pressure rib protruding from a bottom of the main body toward the ink absorbent body by a height higher than the ink feeding pipe to press the ink absorbent body contacting the pressure rib before coming in contact with the ink feeding pipe.

An ink cartridge using separate magnets is provided. The ink cartridge includes an ink container, which includes first and second chambers separated by a vertical partition formed therewithin for containing ink, and a head for ejecting the ink in the ink container onto a printing medium in the form of droplets. The first chamber includes a sponge filling most of the inside of the first chamber, a filter provided on a bottom portion of the sponge, and an ink supply pipe for supplying the ink which has passed through the filter to the head. The second chamber includes a magnet float floating on the ink in the second chamber and including a first magnet in its inside, and a second magnet provided in the bottom surface of the second chamber. The ink cartridge includes a magnet sensor for detecting a magnetic flux having at least a predetermined level when the magnet float contacts the second magnet. Accordingly, the ink cartridge with separate magnets does not require a cartridge container to be formed of a transparent material. By using the separate magnets, a magnetic flux having a strength necessary for detection can be induced while preventing magnetic interference between ink containers provided for different colors.
