The present invention provides a thermoplastic resin composition comprising (A) a thermoplastic resin, and (B) a carbon nanofiber-metal composite including a plurality of laminated truncated, conic graphenes continuously coated with a metal. The thermoplastic resin composition according to the present invention can have excellent EMI shielding properties.

Thermoplastic resin composition with EMI shielding properties

A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises (A) about 25 to about 55 parts by weight of a block terpolymer including an aromatic vinyl compound and an alkene compound; (B) about 20 to about 50 parts by weight of a paraffin oil; (C) about 5 to about 15 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin; (D) about 5 to about 20 parts by weight of an inorganic additive; and (E) about 3 to about 15 parts by weight of a polyphenylene ether. The thermoplastic elastomer composition can have excellent physical properties, such as flexibility (or resilience), surface hardness, and restoring force at high temperatures.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition

The present invention provides a resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin (A), an inorganic compound having a volume resistance of less than about 10&#x3a9;&#xb7;m and relative permeability of more than about 5,000 (B) and fiber filler (C). The resin composition of the present invention can have high impact strength and high electrical conductivity, and high electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding properties. The resin composition of the present invention can accordingly have multiple functions and can be used for electrical/electronic devices.

A polymer composition includes a rubber modified vinyl resin, a polyphenylene ether resin, a cyclic alkyl phosphate compound, and an aromatic phosphate ester. In some embodiments, the cyclic alkyl phosphate compound is able to impart good flame retardancy to the composition and thermal resistance to the polymer composition.

Flame retardant polymer composition

A method of preparing a styrene polymer-silica nanocomposite is disclosed. One embodiment of the method includes polymerizing about 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture including about 50 to about 80% by weight of an aromatic monomer an about 20 to about 50% by weight of a vinyl cyanide monomer with about 0.5 to about 30 parts by weight of a colloidal silica dispersed in a first organic solvent.

Method of preparing styrene polymer-silica nanocomposite

A polymer composition includes a rubber modified aromatic vinyl resin and a cyclic alkyl phosphate compound. In some embodiments, the cyclic alkyl phosphate compound is able to impart good flame retardancy to the composition, while maintaining a good balance of the other physical and mechanical properties of the resin including Vicat Softening Temperature and impact strength.

A polymer composition includes a substantially transparent, rubber modified aromatic vinyl resin and a cyclic alkyl phosphate compound. In some embodiments, the cyclic alkyl phosphate compound is able to impart good flame retardancy, while maintaining a good balance of the other physical and mechanical properties of the resin including the transparency and impact strength of the resin.

The flameproof styrenic resin composition according to the present invention comprises (A) about 70 to 99.5 parts by weight of a rubber-modified polystyrene resin and (B) about 0.5 to 20 parts by weight of a ring-shaped alkyl phosphonic acid compound represented by the following formula: wherein Rand Rare independently of each other C-Calkyl and x is 0 or 1
