A polymer composition that comprises a laser activatable additive, fibrous filler, and dielectric material distributed within a polymer matrix is provided. The polymer matrix contains at least one thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer. Further, the polymer composition exhibits a dielectric constant of about 10 or more and a dissipation factor of about 0.1 or less, as determined at a frequency of 2 GHz.

Polymer composition for laser direct structuring

A medical device capable of transmitting a radiofrequency signal to and/or receiving a radiofrequency signal from an external device is provided. The medical device comprises at least one component that contains a polymer composition that exhibits a dielectric constant of about 6 or less at a frequency of 2 GHz, wherein the polymer composition includes a liquid crystalline polymer.

Connected medical device containing a liquid crystalline polymer composition having a low dielectric constant

A laser activatable polymer composition is provided. The composition contains at least one laser activatable additive and at least one high naphthenic thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer that contains repeating units derived from naphthenic hydroxycarboxylic and/or dicarboxylic acids in an amount of about 10 mol. % or more. The polymer composition exhibits a dielectric constant of about 5 or less as determined at a frequency of 2 GHz.

A high voltage electrical component for an electric vehicle is provided. The component comprises a polymer composition that includes a polymer matrix containing a liquid crystalline polymer. The composition exhibits a comparative tracking index of about 125 volts or more as determined in accordance with IEC 60112:2003 at a thickness of 3 millimeters. Further, the composition defines an orange surface that is characterized by a L* value of from about 55 to about 75, an a* value of from about 18 to about 38, and a b* value of from about 22 to about 42, wherein L*, a*, and b* are calculated using CIELAB units according to ASTM D2244-16.

High voltage component for an electric vehicle

A polymer composition that is capable of exhibiting a unique combination of ductility (e.g., tensile elongation at break), impact strength (e.g., Charpy notched impact strength), and dimensional stability is provided. Antenna module

A three-dimensional printing method is provided. The method comprises selectively forming a three-dimensional structure from a polymer composition. The polymer composition comprises a thermally conductive particulate material distributed within a thermoplastic polymer matrix, and further wherein the polymer composition exhibits a through-plane thermal conductivity of about 0.10 W/m-K or more.

Three-dimensional printing system employing a thermally conductive polymer composition

A polymer composition comprising a semiconductive material distributed within a polymer matrix is provided. The semiconductive material includes inorganic particles and an electrically conductive material, the inorganic particles having an average particle size of from about 0.1 to about 100 μm and an electrical conductivity about 500 μS/cm or less. The polymer matrix contains at least one thermoplastic high performance polymer having a deflection under load of about 40° C. or more. Polymer composition for use in an antenna system

Polymer composition and film for use in 5G applications

A polymer composition that comprises from about 50 wt. % to about 90 wt. % of a polymer matrix and from about 10 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of silica particles is provided. The polymer matrix includes a liquid crystalline polymer containing repeating units derived from naphthenic hydroxycarboxylic and/or dicarboxylic acids in an amount of about 15 mol. % or less of the polymer. Polymer composition for use in a camera module

A microneedle assembly that is capable of transdermal delivery of a drug compound, such as a vaccine, (e.g., vaccine) across a dermal barrier of a subject (e.g., human), and/or detecting the presence of an analyte in the subject is provided. The microneedle assembly comprises a plurality of microneedles arranged on a support that each contain a tip and base, one or both of which are formed from a polymer composition that includes a liquid crystalline polymer. By selectively controlling the specific components of the polymer composition, as well as their relative concentration, the resulting microneedles may exhibit a high degree of physical alignment, which can help ensure better performance during use of the microneedle assembly.

Microneedle assembly

A camera module containing a molded part (e.g., generally planar base, lens barrel mounted on the base, etc.) that is formed form a polymer composition is provided. The polymer composition includes a liquid crystalline polymer and inorganic particles that have a hardness value of about 2.5 or more based on the Mohs hardness scale.
