An air purifier provides various air purification functions relating to various environmental conditions by increasing a purification function relative to specific contaminants through replacement of a filter based on the environment to be purified. The air purifier includes a main body of a structure allowing air to pass therethrough. A replaceable filter is received into the main body and is replaceable on a basis of the environmental properties of a space to be purified, removing contaminants in the air passing through the main body. Further, the air purifier includes a dust collecting unit to charge dust particles electrically and to collect the dust particles by electrostatic attraction. In addition, a metal filter functions to collect the dust particles charged in the dust collecting unit, and a HEPA filter is used to collect micro-contaminants. The metal filter is positioned in front of the HEPA filter.

Air purifier

An air purifier has a simply manufactured and assembled ionizer, which improves the charging efficiency for dust particles using multi-directional discharge and prevents electrical accidents. The air purifier includes an ionizer and a collector. The ionizer includes a first electrode and at least two second electrodes, the first electrode having at least two hollow, semi-cylindrically shaped electrodes, the at least two electrodes being connected successively and in parallel so that the first electrode has a corrugated shape, and the at least two second electrodes are positioned at inner spaces defined by the hollow semi-cylindrically shaped electrodes, respectively. The collector is electrically charged with a polarity opposite to a polarity of charged dust particles.

A filter for an air conditioner, including a carbon nanotube, wherein nano-sized metal particles of at least one type of metal are deposited into the carbon nanotube.

An air purifier has a simply manufactured and assembled ionizer, which increases the charging efficiency for dust particles through maximally increased discharge spaces and prevents electrical accidents. The air purifier includes an ionizer and a collector. The ionizer includes two ground electrode units and at least one discharge electrode, the two ground electrode units each having one or more electrodes, each formed in a hollow semi-cylindrical shape, the two ground electrode units being joined to face each other, the at least one discharge electrode being placed in spaces formed between the hollow semi-cylindrically shaped electrodes of the joined ground electrode units, thus charging dust particles passing through the spaces between the hollow semi-cylindrically shaped electrodes. The collector is electrically charged with a polarity opposite to a polarity of the charged dust particles.

A dust collecting apparatus for an air conditioner, including an ionizer to electrically charge dust particles in air; and a metal filter having fine metal fibers, disposed at a predetermined distance from a back of the ionizer, the metal filter having a polarity opposite to that of the charged dust particles to electrically collect the dust particles.

Dust collecting apparatus for an air conditioner

A heater exchanger used to condense a refrigerant in a refrigeration system. The heat exchanger is designed to perform a heat exchanging operation by the use of latent heat of water vaporization, thus having improved heat exchanging efficiency as well as a reduced size. The heat exchanger includes an upper header having a refrigerant inlet port and distributing a refrigerant introduced into the upper header through the refrigerant inlet port, a plurality of heat exchanging tubes connected at upper ends thereof to the upper header and extending in a vertical direction, a lower header connected to lower ends of the heat exchanging tubes and gathering the refrigerant flowing from the heat exchanging tubes, with a refrigerant outlet port formed in the lower header, and a water supply unit assembled with upper portions of external surfaces of the heat exchanging tubes, and feeding water to the tubes to cause water to flow along the external surfaces of the tubes. The water supply unit is a channeled body with the heat exchanging tubes perpendicularly passing the channeled body. The interior of the water supply unit is partitioned into a pressure regulating chamber and a water supply chamber by a partition wall having a plurality of pressure regulating holes. The pressure regulating chamber receives water from the outside, while the water supplying chamber feeds water to the heat exchanging tubes to cause water to flow along the external surfaces of the heat exchanging tubes. A plurality of lower holes are formed at a lower portion of the water supply unit to allow the heat exchanging tubes to perpendicularly pass the water supply unit through the lower holes. Each of the lower holes has a size larger than a cross-sectional size of each of the heat exchanging tubes.

An air conditioner heat-exchanger is provided to smoothen the air flowing through a plurality of the heat transfer tubes, thereby improving heat transference efficiency and heat-exchange effect, the air conditioner heat-exchanger having a plurality of flat fins arranged in parallel at a predetermined interval and a plurality of heat transfer tubes perpendicularly inserted to the plurality of flat fins, the plurality of heat transfer tubes being arranged against the air flowing direction (S) with a predetermined horizontal interval (X) and a predetermined vertical interval (Y) maintained therebetween to avoid the influence of the dead air region (P) formed therebehind.

Air conditioner heat-exchanger

A flat heat exchanger fin includes a body having arrays of louver groups formed therein. Each array includes four louver groups. The first and second louver groups are disposed over a respective pipe, with the second louver group disposed behind the first louver group. The third and fourth louver groups are disposed beneath a respective pipe, with the fourth louver group disposed behind the third louver group. Each louver group includes a plurality of louvers which form slits through the body. The slits extend transversely relative to the air flow direction and generally radially with respect to the respective pipe. Each louver group includes a proximate edge facing a respective pipe, and a remote edge facing away from the pipe. The remote edge is spaced from the respective pipe by a substantially constant separation distance. Dew-draining ridges are formed in the fin above, below, in front of, and behind respective pipes.

Cooling fin for heat exchanger

A heat exchanger includes parallel flat fins spaced apart to conduct an air current therebetween. Heat transfer pipes for conducting refrigerant pass perpendicularly through the fins in a zigzag pattern. Each fin includes grilles in the form of slits which are oriented generally radially relative to respective heat transfer pipes for disturbing the air current passing around the outer peripheries of the pipes. Ridges are formed in each fin in front of and behind each pipe to increase the heat transfer area to increase the heat transfer area of the fin and strengthen the fin against bending forces.

Heat exchanger fins of an air conditioner

A heat exchanger includes parallel vertical fins through which horizontal heat exchanger tubes project. Each fin possesses groups of louver patterns, each group arranged between two vertically adjacent tubes. Each group of louver patterns is formed by first, second, third and fourth louver patterns arranged generally radially with respect to an adjacent tube. The louver patterns provide slits in the fin through which air can flow. The orientation of the louver patterns is such that a minimum vertical distance between vertically adjacent ones of the groups is shorter than an outer radius of a respective tube.

The present invention relates to a heat exchanger of an air conditioner having a plurality of flat fins, each arranged in parallel at a predetermined interval to allow fluid to flow thereamong and a plurality of heat transfer pipes insertedly arranged in perpendicular patterns to the plurality of the flat fins to allow the fluid to internally flow, the heat exchanger comprising a plurality of louvered grid groups symmetrically opened in a forward and a reverse flowing direction of air current and radially disposed to encompass an upper and a lower side of the heat transfer pipes, so that the air current flowing though the plurality of flat fins can become turbulent and mixed around the heat transfer pipes to thereby reduce a cavitation region generating at the back of the plurality of heat transfer pipes and concurrently to increase a heat transfer efficiency, the heat exchanger further having an advantage in that a bead part is bent toward an inner side of the flat fin so as to be centrally and perpendicularly positioned at the louvered grid groups against the upper and lower sides of heat transfer pipes, so that superficial area of the flat fin can be enlarged and concentrated water (by way of example, dew) generated by temperature difference between the refrigerant flowing in the heat transfer pipes and the air current flowing through the flat fins can be smoothly drained out when the beat exchanger is used as an evaporator for cooling or as a concentrator.

A heat exchanger for an air conditioner comprises parallel flat fins for conducting air flows therebetween, and parallel tubes passing perpendicularly through the flat fins for conducting heat exchanging fluid. Each fin includes vertical beads disposed above, below, in front of and behind the tubes for draining condensed water.

A heat exchanger includes parallel fins and heat transfer pipes extending through the fins for conducting a heat transfer fluid. Each fin includes four groups of slit-forming grilles disposed between each vertically spaced pair of pipes. The present invention relates to a heat exchanger for air conditioners having a plurality of a slit type grilles in each flat fin and making the air currents passing by the fin become turbulent flows and mixing the air currents together, to thereby improve the heat exchanging efficiency and reducing a cavitation zone formed in the back of each heat transfer pipe.

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of parallel spaced-apart fins and refrigerant-conducting tubes extending perpendicularly therethrough in a zigzagged arrangement. Slits are formed in each fin wherein there is a pair of slits directly in front of each pipe, a pair of slits at an upper front portion of the pipe, a pair of slits at a lower front portion of the pipe, a pair of slits at an upper central portion of the pipe, a pair of slits at a lower central portion of the pipe, a pair of slits at an upper rear portion of the pipe, a pair of slits at a lower rear portion of the pipe, and a pair of slits directly behind the pipe. The two slits of each pair extend from opposite sides, respectively, of the fin without any space formed between the slits, whereby the slits form contiguous air-conducting passages.
