A liquid crystal display is presented that includes: an auxiliary electrode protruding from a gate line; a third gate electrode protruding from the gate line; a first source electrode and a second source electrode connected to a data line and overlapping the first gate electrode and the second gate electrode, respectively; a first drain electrode overlapping the first gate electrode and the auxiliary electrode; a second drain electrode overlapping the second gate electrode; a third source electrode overlapping the third gate electrode; a third drain electrode overlapping the third gate electrode and connected to a storage electrode line; first and second subpixel electrodes connected to the first and second drain electrodes, respectively, wherein a connection between the first drain electrode and the first subpixel electrode and a connection between the second drain electrode and the second subpixel electrode are adjacent to each other.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel including pixels and a backlight unit disposed at a rear side of the liquid crystal display panel to supply first and second color lights having different wavelengths to the liquid crystal display panel. In each pixel, first and second color filters having first and second colors different from each other are sequentially arranged in a first direction. Each pixel also includes a first open portion allowing the first and second color filters to be spaced apart from each other in the first direction and a second open portion allowing the second color filter to be spaced apart from a color filter of an adjacent pixel in the first direction. The backlight unit supplies the first and second color lights to the liquid crystal display panel during first and second sub-fields obtained by dividing a frame.

Liquid crystal display

In a display panel and a method of manufacturing the same, the display panel includes a first display substrate, a second display substrate and a sealing member. The first display substrate includes a first alignment layer in a first display region and a first peripheral region of a first base substrate, and a first backflow-blocking pattern in the first peripheral region and having a curvature to surround a vertex portion of the first display region. The second display substrate includes a second alignment layer in a second display region which faces the first display region and a second peripheral region of a second base substrate. The sealing member includes a corner portion having substantially the same curvature as the first backflow-blocking pattern to surround an outline of the first and second peripheral regions.

Display panel and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display includes a display area and a non-display area. The liquid crystal display includes a first base substrate, a pixel disposed on the first base substrate in the display area, a second base substrate, a common electrode disposed on the second base substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first base substrate and the second base substrate, and an electric field control line disposed on the first base substrate in the non-display area. The electric field control line is disposed on a same layer as the pixel electrode.

Liquid crystal display and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display includes a display panel having a plurality of pixels. The display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposing each other. A liquid crystal layer is positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. A pixel electrode is positioned on the first substrate and positioned in one pixel of the plurality of pixels. An opposing electrode faces the pixel electrode with the liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween. At least one of the pixel electrode and the opposing electrode includes a liquid crystal inclination direction determining member. A transmission region of the pixel includes a first region and a second region that have different cell gaps of the liquid crystal layer from each other and extension directions of the liquid crystal inclination direction determining member in the first region and the second region are different from each other.
