The present invention relates to a touch sensitive display device, the display device including a display panel unit, a sensing unit formed on the display panel unit, receiving a sensor control signal, and generating a sensor data signal based on a touch exerted on the display panel unit, an output unit generating a sensing signal based on the sensor data signal from the sensing unit, and a compensation unit adjusting the sensor control signal such that the sensing signal is bounded in a predetermined range.

Touch sensitive display device and method thereof

A display device includes a display panel having a first panel and a second panel that face each other with a liquid crystal layer therebetween, a plurality of first sense data lines extending in a row direction on the second panel, a plurality of second sense data lines extending in a column direction on the second substrate, and a sense signal processor. A plurality of sensing units are positioned at regions defined by the first and second sense data lines. A first sense data lines is connected to a second sense data line by a contact to output a first sense data signal through the first sense data line and a second sense data signal through the second sense data line. The sense signal processor reads and processes the first and second sense data signals.

Display device with sensing units and driving method thereof

A light sensing panel includes a scan line transmitting a scan signal, a power source line transmitting a bias voltage, a readout line transmitting a light sensing signal and a light sensing device. The light sensing device includes a control electrode that is electrically connected to the scan line to receive the scan signal, a first current electrode that is electrically connected to the power source line to receive the bias voltage, and a second current electrode that is electrically connected to the readout line to apply a light sensing signal to the readout line when the light sensing signal senses an external light. The light sensing panel requires only one thin film transistor in order to detect a position wherein the external light is incident. Therefore, electrical coupling between devices is reduced and aperture ratio is increased, thereby enhancing a display quality.

Light sensing panel, and liquid crystal display apparatus having the same

A display apparatus may include touch detection circuitry including a light sensing circuit and a physical parameter sensing circuit (e.g., a pressure sensing circuit). The display apparatus may further include processing circuitry implementing a power-saving mode and a normal mode, and configured to generate touch information. An display driver may include a photo sensing circuit and a pressure sensing circuit. An embodiment of the display driver may include: an amplifying unit amplifying a photo sensing signal and a pressure sensing signal; a parallel-to-serial converting unit converting the amplified photo sensing signal and the amplified pressure sensing signal into serial sensing signals; and an analog-to-digital converter converting the serial sensing signals into digital sensing signals, wherein the amplifying unit, the parallel-to-serial converting unit, and the analog-to-digital converter operate in one of a normal mode and a power saving mode according to the pressure sensing signal.

Display device and driving apparatus including a photo sensing circuit and a pressure sensing circuit and method thereof

A sensing circuit is provided that senses an externally provided pressure on a panel, and includes a sensing capacitor, a first switching element, a second switching element and a third switching element; where the sensing capacitor includes a sensing electrode on the first substrate, the insulating layer and the opposite electrode; the sensing capacitor varies a capacitance based on the externally provided pressure; the first switching element is electrically connected to the sensing electrode to charge the sensing capacitor based on a first switching signal; the second switching element outputs a current based on a second switching signal and a first voltage; the third switching element is electrically connected to the sensing electrode to control the current based on the variation of the capacitance of the sensing capacitor to generate a sensing signal; and where a thickness is decreased, and an image display quality is improved.

An information detection device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: light sensing units generating photocurrents according to light amount and outputting sensor data signals based on the photocurrent; sensor scanning lines receiving sensor scanning signals from a sensor scanning driver and controlling the output of the sensor data signals from the light sensing units; sensor data lines transmitting the sensor data signals from the light sensing units; and a sensing signal processor receiving the sensor data signals from the sensor data lines at input terminals, wherein the number of the input terminals of the sensing signal processor is less than the number of the sensor data lines.

An image display system includes a light pen to generate light to input data, and a display panel to display images in response to the light provided from the light pen. The display panel includes a first substrate on which pixel electrodes are formed, a second substrate on which a common electrode are formed, and a photo-sensor formed on the first substrate. The photo-sensor detects the light provided from the light pen to generate a light detect signal. The image display system also includes a driving module to provide new image data to the display panel to display new images in response to the light detect signal from the photo-sensor.

A latch assembly including a lug, a rack, and a lever is provided for portable computer. The lug rotatably mounted on a cover case. A hook formed on the other end of lug protrudes through a hook opening of cover case in a closed position so as to be securely connected to hook holder of a main body case through a front opening of the main body case in a closed position and is securely located into inside of the cover case in the open position so as to avoid being broken and injuring an user. The rack slidably disposed within the cover case allows the lug to be projected through the cover case or to be located underneath the cover case. The lever disposed at an outer surface of the cover case is connected to the rack to causes the rack to slidably and linearly move and the lug to rotate and to protrude from and retract into the surface of the cover case. Protrusions formed on the lever contacts a pair of convex portion of the cover case so as to securely maintain the closed or open position.

Disclosed is a method for programming flash memories, each of which has a memory cell array divided into plural blocks. Each of the blocks is associated with block status information indicating whether it is valid. According to the programming method of the present invention, first, a parallel-programming process is performed for valid blocks of all of the flash memories. Then, a serial-programming process is performed for flash memories having invalid blocks. This enables the time required for programming flash memories with one or more invalid blocks to be reduced.
