A cradling device of a portable electronic apparatus, which includes a first housing, and a second housing which is slid from the first housing and then is cradled with a slant on the first housing. The second housing can rotate relative to the first housing. The cradling device includes a first member provided in the first housing; a slidable second member capable of sliding, which is provided in the second housing and faces the first member; and at least one cradling module provided in the first housing and the first member, which rotates the first member together with the second member on a rotation axis and cradles the second housing after sliding movement of the slidable second member.

A sliding-type portable terminal including a first housing and a second housing linearly movably coupled to the first housing face-to-face includes a spring module for opening/closing the first and second housings. The spring module includes at least a pair of asymmetrical S-shaped wires each including a first bend and a second bend extending from the first bend and having a greater curvature than the first bend. The spring module of the portable terminal provides a reduced thickness because of the spring action in the portable terminal, contributing in particular to an overall reduction in thickness of a sliding-type portable terminal and permit smooth opening/closing of the portable terminal.

An individual step key includes a first slope portion inclined at a first predetermined angle, a second slope portion inclined at a second predetermined angle in the opposite direction to the first slope portion, a recess having a first height and opened under the first slope portion in the forward direction of the step key, a protrusion having a second height lower than the first height and extended from under the second slope portion in the rear direction of the step key, and an extension extended from under the first and second slope portions.

Disclosed is a battery cover locking device of a small electronic apparatus using a battery such as a radio paging receiver and a remote control box, wherein a battery cover comprises a locker having a hinge engaged with a guide box groove of a main housing, and said battery cover is slid and rotated in said main housing by operating said locker so as to be opened and closed for opening and closing a battery inserting hole formed on a side of said main housing.
