Disclosed herein is a catalyst for an upgrading reaction of biomass pyrolysis oil, a method for preparing the same, and a method for upgrading biomass pyrolysis oil using the same. The catalyst is a composite inorganic oxide, and the composite inorganic oxide includes lanthanum, nickel, titanium, and cerium. When a metal catalyst supported on carbon is used as a catalyst for a first step reaction, by using the catalyst as a catalyst for a second step reaction, the efficiency of the upgrading reaction of bio-oil is increased and a continuous reaction is possible without clogging of a continuous reactor.

Disclosed herein are a catalyst for hydrocracking reaction of high molecular weight components in bio-oil, a method for preparing the same and a method for bio-oil upgrading using the same. The catalyst includes a zeolite carrier; and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of nickel (Ni), ruthenium (Ru) and cerium (Ce) supported on the carrier. The catalyst promotes the hydrocracking of high molecular weight compounds contained in the bio-oil, but also inhibits the polymerization reaction of the decomposed product, thereby more effectively enhancing the hydrocracking reaction of the bio-oil.

Provided is a method for preparing hydrophobic monolithic silica aerogel, comprising dipping monolithic wet silica gel obtained by using an alkoxide precursor into an alkylsilane solution as a dipping solution to perform hydrophobitization of the surface and inner part of the monolithic wet silica gel by a dipping process. The method is economical by virtue of the use of a small amount of alkylsilane compound and imparts hydrophobic property to monolithic silica aerogel simply in a cost efficient and time efficient manner. In addition, the method reduces shrinkage of hydrophobic monolithic silica aerogel, enables production of hydrophobic monolithic silica aerogel in a translucent form, and allows the hydrophobic monolithic silica aerogel to maintain low heat conductivity similar to the heat conductivity of hydrophilic silica aerogel. The hydrophobic monolithic silica aerogel may be used directly as a heat insulating panel by virtue of excellent hydrophobic property and heat insulating property.

A method for preparing carbon aerogels and carbon aerogels obtained therefrom are disclosed. The method for preparing carbon aerogels comprises: mixing organic starting materials including phloroglucinol and furfural with a solvent capable of dissolving the organic materials in a predetermined ratio to form a sol solution; adjusting pH of the sol solution adequately by using an acidic or basic catalyst, gelling the sol solution at room temperature under atmospheric pressure, and aging the resultant gels; substituting the solvent in thus obtained gels with liquid carbon dioxide, followed by drying in a supercritical state, to form organic aerogels; and pyrolyzing the organic aerogels in an electric furnace under inert atmosphere to obtain carbon aerogels. Particularly, the gels are formed at room temperature in a short period of time by adequately adjusting pH of the sol solution. Therefore, the method provides improved time efficiency and energy efficiency as compared to existing methods for preparing gels. Additionally, the method allows supercritical drying while avoiding a need for an additional solvent substitution, thereby simplifying the overall process. Further, the method enables preparation of carbon aerogels for supercapacitors having a high specific surface area and high capacitance even in the absence of additional activation step.

A routing method with routing algorithms applicable to a one-level hierarchical network, including a first algorithm in which a shortest one among all paths established in association with one destination is selected, a second algorithm in which the first method is conducted in a distributed fashion to achieve a fast routing, and a third algorithm in which any one of paths established in association with one destination may be selected as a shortest path when the QoS value calculated in association therewith is more optimum than a required reference QoS value, for preventing problems caused by errors at the single path. The method also provides algorithms that are modified versions of the second and third algorithm for the multi-level hierarchical network. Accordingly, the method is advantageous in that users can select an algorithm, most suitable for the system environment, from the above algorithms.

The present invention relates to a method of containing nickel into the alumina aerogel prepared by sol-gel method and supercritical drying and of preparing the nickel-alumina hybrid aerogel catalyst.
