An air conditioning system, including a condenser for condensing a refrigerant, a first expansion device for throttling the refrigerant passed through the condenser, a second expansion device for throttling the refrigerant passed through the first expansion device, an evaporator for evaporating the refrigerant passed through the second expansion device, a compressor for compressing the refrigerant passed through the evaporator and the refrigerant injected after branched between the first expansion device and the second expansion device, and a control unit for detecting a value of at least one operating parameter and determining a target opening degree of the first expansion device on the basis of a stored set value corresponding to the detected value of the operating parameter.

Air conditioning system

An air conditioning system includes a phase separator separating a gaseous refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant from a flowing refrigerant, an evaporator evaporating the liquid refrigerant separated by the phase separator, and at least one compressor including a first compressing part receiving the refrigerant via the evaporator and a second compressing part receiving both of the gaseous refrigerant separated by the phase separator and the refrigerant via the first compressing part.

Air-conditioner with multi-stage compressor and phase separator

A fan apparatus and an air conditioner employing such a fan apparatus are provided to reduce noise and enhance efficiency. The fan apparatus may be driven by a BLDC motor that stably drives the fan and increases an air flow rate. Heat exchange efficiency of an outdoor unit of a front suction/discharge type air conditioner may be improved by such a fan apparatus driven by such a BLDC motor.

It is possible to prevent that a liquid refrigerant is included in a refrigerant injected into a compressor. Accordingly, the risk of liquid compression of the compressor is greatly reduced, thereby decreasing the possibility of damage to the compressor and improving reliability and performance.

An air conditioning system can improve the cooling/heating performance of the system because the injection of refrigerant into the compressor is achieved. The air conditioning system can further improve the cooling/heating performance in a low temperature region by injecting refrigerant as a two-phase refrigerant or a superheated vapor state into the compressor. The air conditioning system can prevent damage of the compressor and further improve reliability by controlling such that the ratio of a liquid refrigerant in the refrigerant injected into the compressor may be less than a set value.

A rotary compressor includes a driving shaft having an eccentric portion, a cylinder, and a roller installed on an outer circumference of the eccentric portion to contact an inner circumference of the cylinder, performing a rolling motion along the inner circumference and forming a fluid chamber to suck and compress fluid along with the inner circumference. A vane is installed elastically in the cylinder to contact the roller continuously. Discharge ports communicate with the fluid chamber. Suction ports communicate with the fluid chamber and are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined angle. A valve assembly selectively opens any one of the suction ports according to a rotation direction of the driving shaft. Compression spaces having different volumes are formed in the fluid chamber according to the rotation direction of the driving shaft such that two different compression capacities are formed.

Rotary compressor

A rotary compressor includes a driving shaft rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise, and an eccentric portion of a predetermined size; a cylinder forming a predetermined inner volume; a roller installed rotatably on an outer circumference of the eccentric portion to contact an inner circumference of the cylinder; a vane installed elastically in the cylinder to contact the roller continuously; a first bearing installed in the cylinder, for supporting the driving shaft rotatably; a second bearing rotatably supporting the driving shaft and preliminarily storing the fluid to be sucked; discharge ports communicating with the fluid chamber; and a valve assembly having openings separated by predetermined angle from each other, wherein compression spaces that have different volumes from each other are formed in the fluid chamber according to the rotation direction of the driving shaft so that two different compression capacities are formed.

A rotary compressor for changing a compression capacity of the compressor includes a driving shaft being rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise, and having an eccentric portion of a predetermined size; a cylinder forming a predetermined inner volume; a roller installed rotatably on an outer circumference of the eccentric portion so as to contact an inner circumference of the cylinder; a vane installed elastically in the cylinder to contact the roller continuously; a first bearing installed in the cylinder, for rotatably supporting the driving shaft; a second bearing installed in the cylinder, for rotatably supporting the driving shaft and guiding the fluid into the fluid chamber; discharge ports communicating with the fluid chamber; and a valve assembly having openings separated by a predetermined angle from each other, the valve assembly having a center which is eccentrically installed by a predetermined distance from a center of the cylinder.

Noise reduction device and air conditioner having the same

A refrigerator having a main body includes a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber provided for storing foods. A cool air-generating device provided in the body generates cool air and a cool air-supplying device including at least one opening for discharging the cool air, is used to circulate the cool air through the freezing chamber, the refrigerating chamber, and the cool air-generating device. A separator provided adjacent to the opening acts to uniformly diffuse the cool air in the freezing chamber and the refrigerating chamber. The separator acts to separate two flows that are then brought back together. The collision and mixing of the two flows create a turbulent flow of air that is directed into the refrigerating and freezing chambers.

The present invention relates to a heat exchanger in a refrigerator having a simple structure and an improved heat exchange performance. Heat exchanger for refrigerator

A heat exchanger is provided for a refrigerator and includes one or more refrigerant tubes for refrigerant flow, and a plurality of straight fins having lengths different from each other fitted to the refrigerant tubes at fixed intervals in parallel to each other by means of through holes formed therein. The heat exchanger includes sections having different intervals or spaces between fins, wherein sections with the smallest fin spaces have a size 75% or less of a total size of the heat exchanger.
