A light emitting module includes a light emitting diode chip and a lens. The lens includes a lower surface having a concave portion. The lens also includes an upper surface from which light incident on the concave portion is emitted. The upper surface of the lens includes a concave surface positioned in a central axis thereof. The concave portion of the lower surface includes at least one of a surface perpendicular to the central axis and a downwardly convex surface. At least one of the surface perpendicular to the central axis and the downwardly convex surface is positioned in a region narrower than an entrance region of the concave portion.

Light emitting module and lens

A lens including an upper surface having a curved portion having a changing curvature in a direction extending away from a central axis of the lens, and a lower surface having a concave portion disposed on the central axis of the lens. The concave portion of the lower surface includes an entrance disposed on a lower region of the concave portion and configured to receive light emitted from a light-emitting diode chip, and an upper end surface disposed on an upper region of the concave portion. The concave portion includes a width that narrows in a direction extending away from the entrance. The upper end surface is nonplanar.

A lighting apparatus includes a light-emitting diode (LED) array, a rectifying unit configured to rectify an alternating current (AC) voltage and to generate a driving voltage for the LED array, a switch control signal generation unit configured to generate a switching control signal depending on the driving voltage, the switching control signal including connection control signals and a compensation control signal, connection changing units configured to change a connection between the LEDs according to the connection control signals, and a light output compensation unit configured to generate a compensation voltage according to the compensation control signal, and selectively supply the compensation voltage to the LED array.

Backlight driving apparatus

A light emitting module having a lens is disclosed. The light emitting module includes: a substrate having recesses; light emitting elements mounted within the recesses of the substrate; and a lens which is coupled with the substrate and diffuses the light emitted from the light emitting elements. The light emitting module can have a slim structure by mounting the light emitting elements within the recesses formed in the substrate.

Light emitting device having a plurality of light emitting cells

The present invention relates to a light emitting device including at least three pairs of half-wave light emitting units, each pair including a terminal of a first half-wave light emitting unit connected to a terminal of a second half-wave light emitting unit, the terminals having the same polarity, a polarity of the connected terminals of one half-wave light emitting unit pair being opposite to the polarity of the connected terminals of an adjacent half-wave light emitting unit. The light emitting device also includes at least two full-wave light emitting units each connected to adjacent pairs of half-wave light emitting units. The half-wave light emitting units and the full-wave light emitting units each have at least one light emitting cell, the half-wave light emitting units each have a first terminal and a second terminal, the full-wave light emitting units each have a third terminal having the same polarity as the first terminal and a fourth terminal having the same polarity as the second terminal, and the third terminal of each full-wave light emitting unit being connected to the second terminal of adjacent half-wave light emitting units and the fourth terminal of each half-wave light emitting unit being connected to the first terminal of adjacent half-wave light emitting units.

Disclosed is a light emitting diode assembly. The light emitting diode assembly comprised: a red light emitting diode chip; a short-wavelength light emitting diode chip emitting a light having a wavelength relatively shorter than that of a light emitted from the red light emitting diode chip; a first heat-dispersion member for dispersing most of the heat generated in the short wavelength light emitting diode chip; and a second heat-dispersion member for dispersing most of the heat generated in the red light emitting diode chip. Further, the second heat-dispersion member has heat dispersion performance relatively superior to that of the first heat dispersion member. Thus, spectrum movement in the red light emitted from the red light emitting diode chip may be prevented so as to prevent a color-coordinate transformation during the operation time of same.
