A battery pack includes a housing having an opened top and the housing accommodates at least one battery module and a fuse therein, a housing cover that covers the opened top of the housing and the housing cover includes an opening therein that corresponds to a region of the housing that accommodates the fuse, and an opening cover mountable to the opening of the housing cover and a state of the opening cover is changeable between an opened state and a closed state. The opening cover includes an interlock switch on an inner surface of the opening cover and a grip portion on an outer surface of the opening cover, and the grip portion is arranged along a vertical direction with respect to the interlock switch.

A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells each having a vent portion located in a first surface thereof, the plurality of battery cells being aligned in a first direction; a plurality of barriers each covering at least a portion of the first surface so that the vent portion is exposed, the barriers being located between adjacent ones of the plurality of battery cells; an insulating member mounted on the first surface, the insulating member having a plurality of first openings each corresponding to a respective one of the vent portions; a cover provided above the insulating member to cover the vent portions and the insulating member; and a pressing member located between the insulating member and the cover, wherein the insulating member includes a first sealing portion protruding toward the cover, and a second sealing portion protruding toward the first surface.

Battery module

A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells, a temperature sensor and a case. The plurality of battery cells are aligned in one direction. The temperature sensor has a first surface contacting at least one battery cell of the plurality of battery cells to measure a temperature of the at least one battery cell. The case presses against a second surface of the temperature sensor opposite to the first surface of the temperature sensor. In the battery module, the contact between the first surface of the temperature sensor and the battery cell is maintained by the case. Accordingly, the temperature sensor can precisely measure the temperature of the battery cell, thereby improving the safety of the battery module.

A battery pack includes at least one battery module having a plurality of battery cells arranged in one direction, the plurality of battery cells in the at least one battery module being electrically connected to one another, and a housing surrounding the at least one battery module. The housing may include an inlet in a first surface of the housing, the first surface being opposite to a side surface of a battery module at one end of the housing, and an outlet in a second surface of the housing, the second surface being opposite to the inlet. The battery pack may also include a sealing member that extends along an edge portion of the side surface of the battery module at the one end of the housing.
