An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display includes a pixel part on a substrate, the pixel part being configured to display an image, a peripheral part at a peripheral area of the pixel part, the peripheral part including a chip on film connection part, and a chip on film connected to the chip on film connection part, the chip on film connection part including a chip on film bonding part, the chip on film being attached to the chip on film bonding part, and an array test part separated from the chip on film bonding part, the array test part being contacted with a probe pin.

A display apparatus and an organic display apparatus are disclosed. In one aspect, the display apparatus includes a display substrate divided into a display region for displaying an image via a plurality of pixels for emitting light and a non-display region around the display region. It includes a pad unit formed on the non-display region. It also includes a fan-out unit for connecting the display region and the pad unit. It further includes a plurality of line groups sequentially formed, wherein each line group includes a first fan-out line, a second fan-out line insulated from the first fan-out line by a first insulating layer, and a third fan-out line insulated from the second fan-out line by a second insulating layer, and wherein the third fan-out line at least partially overlaps with at least one of the first and second fan-out lines.

Organic light-emitting display comprising a substrate having a fan-out unit configured to connect a display region with a pad unit

A driver chip for controlling a high-resolution display panel is presented. The driver chip is not much larger than a conventional driver chip that is currently used for lower resolution display panels. The driver chip applies data signals to the data lines of the display panel and gate control signals to a gate driver that is formed in the peripheral region of the display panel. The gate driver, which may be made of amorphous silicon TFTs, generates gate signals in response to the gate control signals from the driver chip and applies the gate signals to gate lines. Since the driver chip of the invention controls more gate lines and data lines than a conventional chip of about the same size, the driver chip may be easily adapted for display devices having multiple panels. Where multiple panels are used, the panels may be scanned simultaneously or sequentially.

Driver for operating multiple display devices

A display panel includes a gate driving circuit, a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines and a dummy gate line. The gate driving circuit is disposed in a peripheral area surrounding a display area. The gate lines are disposed in the display area and receive a plurality of gate signals sequentially outputted from the gate driving circuit. The data lines are disposed in the display area and cross the gate lines. The dummy gate line is disposed adjacent to the last gate line of the gate lines and receives a dummy gate signal transmitted from an external device. Thus, a dummy gate line is adjacent to the last gate line and a pixel electrode connected to the last gate line is affected by a dummy gate signal applied to the dummy gate line.

Liquid crystal display panel and display device having the display panel

A display substrate for a display device includes a substrate, a switching device, a gate line, a data line, a pixel electrode, a plurality of common electrodes. The switching device includes an active pattern, a gate insulation layer, a gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode. The gate line is electrically connected to the source electrode, and the data line is electrically coupled to the gate electrode. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the drain electrode, and the common electrodes are disposed on the pixel electrode. A coupling capacitance among the common electrodes and the data line can be prevented and/or reduced to prevent a signal delay of the data line. Further, an aperture ratio of the display substrate can be improved by changing a layout of the data line and the gate line.

Display substrate, method of manufacturing a display substrate and liquid crystal display device having a display substrate

A liquid crystal display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a plurality of pixels and a plurality of sensing parts. Each of the sensing parts generates an output signal containing location information in response to an input signal. The location information indicates a location where the input signal is inputted. The second substrate is connected to the first substrate. The second substrate faces the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal display device needs no additional touch panel, so that no air space exists between the liquid crystal display panel and the touch panel. Therefore, a display quality is enhanced.

Liquid crystal display panel, liquid crystal display device having the same, and method of manufacturing the same

The embodiment is to provide a liquid crystal display device capable of detecting malfunctions. The liquid crystal display device includes pixels configured to be connected to scan lines and data lines, data pads electrically connected to the data lines, a data integrated circuit supplying data signals to the data lines through the data pads, first data transistors coupled to the data pads, and second data transistors coupled to the data lines. The first data transistors are disposed on the data integrated circuit and the second data transistors are separated from the data integrated circuit.

A light sensing panel includes a scan line transmitting a scan signal, a power source line transmitting a bias voltage, a readout line transmitting a light sensing signal and a light sensing device. The light sensing device includes a control electrode that is electrically connected to the scan line to receive the scan signal, a first current electrode that is electrically connected to the power source line to receive the bias voltage, and a second current electrode that is electrically connected to the readout line to apply a light sensing signal to the readout line when the light sensing signal senses an external light. The light sensing panel requires only one thin film transistor in order to detect a position wherein the external light is incident. Therefore, electrical coupling between devices is reduced and aperture ratio is increased, thereby enhancing a display quality.

Light sensing panel, and liquid crystal display apparatus having the same

In a light sensing element having simplified structure, an array substrate having the light sensing element and an LCD apparatus having the light sensing element, the light sensing element includes a first electrode, a control electrode and a second electrode. An alternating bias voltage is applied to the first electrode. An off voltage is applied to the control electrode. The second electrode outputs a light-induced leakage current based on an externally provided light and the bias voltage. Therefore, the array substrate includes one light sensing switching element corresponding to one pixel so that structure of the array substrate is simplified and opening ratio is increased.
