A speaker device and an electronic device including the speaker device. The speaker device includes a speaker body, which includes a front surface, a rear surface, and a side surface provided between the front surface and the rear surface, and a sealing member provided to enclose at least the side surface of the speaker body, in which the sealing member isolates sound output through the front surface of the speaker body and sound output through the rear surface of the speaker body from each other. The speaker device and the electronic device including the same may be implemented variously according to an embodiment.

An input sensor, an electronic device comprising such, and a method of manufacturing the same are described. The input sensor may be implemented as part of a mechanical key input. The input sensor includes a substrate having a first substrate portion with a signal pattern unit patterned therein, the signal pattern unit configured to generate a signal according to a touch or proximity of an object, and a second substrate portion having an integrated circuit united disposed thereon, the integrated circuit being electrically connected to the surface pattern unit, and a key support having a seating portion configured to support the substrate. The input sensor, electronic device, and the manufacturing method can be modified without limit.

An electronic device includes a case frame including a component receiving space, a substrate assembly received in the component receiving space of the case frame, and a display module electrically connected to the substrate assembly and coupled to the case frame to form an exterior of the electronic device. Thus, the electronic device can lower a production cost by reducing the number of the components, increase production efficiency by reducing the assembly processes, and achieve slimness and lightness compared to a conventional electronic device.

A keypad assembly mounted in a portable terminal is disclosed. The keypad assembly has a window keypad including a display window disposed on a front face of the portable terminal. There is disclosed a hinge mechanism for use in a portable phone having a phone body and a cover, the hinge mechanism configured to mechanically couple the cover to the phone body. The hinge mechanism includes at least one hinge module mounted to the phone body and configured to hinge the cover with respect to the phone body for opening and closing the cover. The hinge module includes a hinge housing having a bottom wall and a pair of opposite lateral end walls spaced from each other, one of the lateral walls having a hole. The hinge housing also has a pair of opposite longitudinal end walls spaced from each other. A hinge shaft is mounted in the housing and has a mountain-shaped portion provided with a pair of opposite cam surfaces at one longitudinal portion thereof and a shaft portion at the other longitudinal portion thereof. The hinge shaft is arranged in the hinge housing such that the shaft portion extends through the hole of the hinge housing outwardly from the hinge housing and is coupled to the cover. A hinge cam is provided in the hinge housing and has at one longitudinal portion thereof, a pair of mountain-shaped protrusions respectively provided with facing cam surfaces defining a valley-shaped portion therebetween, and, at the other longitudinal portion thereof, a mounting protrusion. The hinge cam valley-shaped portion is engaged with the mountain-shaped portion of the hinge shaft in such a fashion that it slides straight in a rotating axis direction in response to the rotation of the hinge shaft. A hinge spring is provided in the hinge housing to urge the hinge cam toward the hinge shaft.

Hinge mechanism of portable phone

An antenna configuration includes a rod antenna and a helical antenna that are independently operable. The helical antenna is composed of a helical coil installed within an antenna housing mounted on a main body of a communication device. A feeding connector is electrically coupled to a bottom portion of the helical coil to thereby connect the helical antenna to a circuit of the communication device. The rod antenna is composed of a rod functioning as a conductive metal core wire. The rod is surrounded by the helical coil and the feeding connector and is extendable from and retractable into the main body of the communication device. When the rod is retracted into the main body, the helical coil operates as the exclusive radiating element and operation of the rod antenna is disabled. When the rod is extended from the main body, the rod electrically short-circuits and disables operation of the helical coil, and thereby operates as the exclusive radiating element.

A hinge apparatus for a foldable telephone includes a body portion for mounting electronically operable parts and a flip member for covering the body portion. The flip member is assembled with the body portion by means of a pair of hinge shafts that pivot within a predetermined range of angles. A pair of resilient members are provided for influencing rotation of the hinge shafts. Each of the hinge shafts includes a resilient member contact portion that is engaged by a respective resilient member for enabling the flip member to snappingly pivot on the hinge shafts.
