A refrigerator includes a cabinet, a cooling module including a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator, and attachable to or detachable from the cabinet so that the cooling module is removably mounted to the cabinet, an electronic device arranged in the cabinet, and an electrical box configured to be electrically connected to the electronic device and the compressor, receive power from outside and supply the received power to the electronic device and the compressor.

Provided is a refrigerator having only a second door opened/closed or having both of a first door and a second door opened/closed using one handing by allowing a latch device to fix the second door to the first door or release the second door from being fixed to the first door. The refrigerator includes a main body having a storage compartment, a first door that is rotatably disposed in front of the main body and has an opening formed therein, a second door that is rotatably disposed in front of the first door to open/close the opening, a handle coupled to a front side of the second door to open/close the first door and the second door, and a latch device allowing the second door to be fixed and released to/from the first door.

The refrigerator includes: a cabinet forming a storage chamber therein and including a cooling module mounting portion, a cabinet sealing portion formed on an outer surface of the cooling module mounting portion; a cooling module detachably mounted to the cooling module mounting portion and including an evaporator, a condenser, and a compressor, wherein the cooling module includes a module housing, and the module housing includes a module sealing portion facing the cabinet sealing portion, and the module sealing portion includes a module inclination portion positioned at an inclination with respect to a direction in which the cooling module is insertable into the cabinet to be mounted to the cabinet; and a sealing member positioned between the cabinet sealing portion and the module sealing portion.

In a refrigerator including a sliding door configured to open and close a storage chamber, a storage basket provided on a rear portion of the sliding door, and a support frame configured to support the sliding door and the storage basket, sidewalls of the storage basket may be formed so as to protrude outwardly except a lower portion in which the support frame is disposed between an inner case and the sidewalls, thereby increasing a storage space of the storage basket. In addition, a front protrusion, an auxiliary protrusion, and a rear protrusion are formed in an upper portion of the storage basket, and therefore a relative position of an auxiliary basket to the storage basket may be limited, and the auxiliary basket may be drawn into and out in conjunction with drawn-in and -out movements of the storage basket.

In a refrigerator including a sliding door configured to open and close a storage chamber, a storage basket provided on a rear portion of the sliding door, and a support frame configured to support the sliding door and the storage basket, sidewalls of the storage basket may be formed so as to protrude outwardly except a lower portion in which the support frame is disposed between an inner case and the sidewalls, thereby increasing a storage space of the storage basket. A refrigerator having a structure in which, when a first door or a second door is opened, a lamp installed at sidewalls of an opening in the first door emits light so that food stored in a door guard disposed in the opening can be illuminated. The refrigerator includes a main body having a storage compartment; a first door that is rotatably disposed in front of the main body and opens/closes the storage compartment, and has an opening formed therein, where at least one door guard is disposed in the opening; a second door that is rotatably disposed in front of the first door, opens/closes the opening, and is rotated in the same direction as the first door; and a lamp installed at the sidewalls of the opening.

A refrigerator includes a speaker assembly disposed on an upper side of the cabinet so as to be inclined forward, and the speaker assembly is disposed to be exposed to the outside to efficiently transmit sound to the outside of the refrigerator. Further, the cover member disposed on the upper side of the speaker assembly may prevent the penetration of water, foreign matter, etc. on the outside. The refrigerator also includes a rotatable USB port located above the door so that the user may easily connect the USB device to the USB port.

A rear plate of a refrigerator includes a base section formed at the outside of the rear plate while being flat, and a formed section formed to protrude from the base section toward the inner case through a foaming process. Outer equipment is installed at the formed section, to be disposed more inside than the base section and, as such, it is possible to protect the outer equipment from external impact. In addition, it is possible to achieve an improvement in rear appearance design of the refrigerator and an enhancement in space utility of the refrigerator.
