Provided is a continuous circulation sand filter including a filtering barrel filled with a sand filtering layer, an inflow tube for introducing raw water into the filtering barrel, a treated water discharge part for discharging treated water purified by passing the raw water through the sand filtering layer from a lower end of the sand filtering layer to an upper end thereof, an air lift tube for transferring contaminated sand, located in the lower end of the sand filtering layer, from a lower part of the filtering barrel to an upper part thereof, a transfer water discharge filter contacting the air lift tube to discharge transfer water moved upward together with sand through the air lift tube and trap the sand and a foreign substance, a descent guide tube downwardly moving the sand and the foreign substance moved to the upper part of the filtering barrel through the air lift tube, and a foreign substance separation tube suctioning the downwardly moving foreign substance to remove the foreign substance from the downwardly moving sand, and discharging the foreign substance.

Disclosed are a hydrogen energy production system utilizing silicon wastewater and a method for production of hydrogen energy using the same. More particularly, the disclosed system includes: a UF treatment bath wherein the silicon wastewater is treated through UF film filtration to separate UF treated water and a concentrated silicon waste solution therefrom; a line mixer connected to the UF treatment bath in order to admix the separated silicon waste solution with an alkaline material fed from the outside; and a hydrogen production bath connected to the line mixer, wherein the concentrated silicon waste solution in the mixture reacts with the alkaline material, in order to produce hydrogen gas. Additionally, a hydrogen energy production method using the foregoing system is also disclosed.

Disclosed herein is a spiral wound type filter cartridge and more specifically, a spiral wound type filter cartridge in which activated carbon fiber is provided. The inside of spiral wound type filter cartridge is capable of serving as a carbon filter in a water purifier, thus eliminating the necessity of the use of any carbon filter for pre- or post-treatment in the process of purifying raw water, reducing an overall size of the water purifier and considerably reducing costs associated therewith.

The preparation method of a polyamide thin film composite reverse osmosis membrane using interfacial polymerization of an amine aqueous solution and amine-reactive compound includes the steps of (a) forming an active layer through interfacial polymerization by contacting a surface of a porous support with an amine aqueous solution containing a polyfunctional aromatic amine monomer and an organic solution containing polyfunctional acyl halide monomer as an amine-reactive compound, and (b) performing post-treatment preceded by the forming of the active layer by contacting the active layer with an aqueous solution containing 0.1 to 100 wt % of polyfunctional tertiary alcohol amine. The polyamide thin film composite reverse osmosis membrane prepared by using the polyfunctional tertiary alcohol amine as a post-treatment compound has improved water permeability and salt rejection compared to a case of using various post-treatment agents or methods.
