An optical lens () capable of facilitating efficient light distribution control with a simple configuration is provided. It comprises a plurality of light distribution control parts () continuing in a bilateral direction such that each of the light distribution control parts corresponds to each column of LEDs (), the light distribution control parts defining optical paths of light from the LEDs () on a column basis, one light distribution control part () discharges light entering from the LEDs () in a column corresponding thereto in one direction of the bilateral direction that intersects the optical axes, and a further light distribution control part () discharges light entering from the LEDs () in a column corresponding thereto in a further direction of the bilateral direction that intersects the optical axes.

Optical lens

It is an illumination apparatus () that can achieve special illumination in addition to normal illumination. It includes a main illumination light source () of a predetermined luminescent color, a sub illumination light source () adjustable to an arbitrary luminescent color, and a control unit () that controls lighting of the main illumination light source () and the sub illumination light source (), the main illumination light source () and the sub illumination light source () are arranged in a state where respective irradiated lights are mixed on the same path, and the control unit () can set a high illuminance mode in which, in addition to lighting of the main illumination light source () during normal use, the sub illumination light source () is lighted in the same luminescent color as the main illumination light source ().

Illumination apparatus

An optical lens capable of facilitating efficient light distribution control with a simple configuration includes a plurality of light distribution control parts arranged in a bilateral direction such that each of the light distribution control parts corresponds to each column of LEDs. The light distribution control parts define optical paths of light from the LEDs. The optical paths are sequentially shortened from one end side to the other end side in the bilateral direction. The light distribution control parts guide the light in a direction that intersects optical axes of the LEDs.

A lighting device includes an indoor lamp (), being provided in the cabin of a railroad vehicle () in order to wholly irradiate the inside of the cabin over the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a vehicle body power supply (), supplying electric power to the indoor lamp (), and a storage battery (), being charged with a voltage applied by the vehicle body power supply (). The indoor lamp () includes a general lamp light source () and a standby lamp light source (), being lighted at an illuminance lower than that at which the general lamp light source () is lighted, and the general lamp source () being supplied with electric power from the vehicle body power supply () not through the storage battery (), while the standby lamp light source () being supplied with electric power from the vehicle body power supply () through the storage battery (). In an emergency, electric power is supplied from the storage battery () only to the standby lamp light source (), and the standby lamp light source () is continued to be lighted at the low illuminance.

Lighting device

An illumination lens includes an incident face (), being provided in a recessed manner in a bottom apex part of the lens body (), and receiving light from the light source (); a reflection face () on the inner side of an outer periphery of the lens body (), totally reflecting the light, having reached from the incident face (); and an emission face () at the upper end of the lens body (), emitting the light, having reached from the incident face () and the reflection face (), to the outside, and the incident face () distributes the light, which could be directed toward the entire region of the reflection face (), only in a predetermined range () within the reflection face, being adjacent to the upper end side portion, following the emission face (), and being closer to the bottom apex part.

Illumination lens

Problem: To provide a modular lighting unit that allows freely designing a lighting fitting in accordance with the demand for illumination design of the user, and moreover that can be easily assembled, resulting from the simple structure thereof, whereby the cost can be substantially reduced, and its commercial value is high. Solution: A modular lighting unit, including one light emitting elementdisposed in a lamp chamber that is enclosed by a caseand a cover, the caseand the coverbeing combined with each other in such a way that the peripheral wallof the covercovers the peripheral wallof the case, and in the mutually combined state, they being fixed to each other with an engaging partprovided for either one of them being engaged with an engaged partprovided for the other by snap fitting. Between the light emitting elementand the irradiation aperture, there being disposed a lens body. A plurality of types of lens bodiesthat emit the light originated from the LEDin different light distribution patterns are previously prepared, and an appropriate one is selected from among them.
