The moving picture coding apparatus includes: a flag information generation unit for generating a flag indicating that values indicated by display order information POC are in non-sequential order; and a variable length coding unit for performing variable length coding and other operations on the inputted coded signal and further generating a coded stream (Str) by including information such as the flag generated by the flag information generation unit.

Moving picture coding method and moving picture decoding method

A picture coding method according to the present invention includes: a coding step (S, S) of coding, picture parameter sets (PPS) to be used for decoding all the pictures (pic) included in a random access unit (RAU) made up of plural pictures and a sequence parameter set (SPS); and a parameter set placement step (S) of placing, in the random access unit (RAU), the parameter set (PPS, SPS) coded in the coding step (S, S).

Picture coding method

A demultiplexing apparatus includes a data obtainment unit to obtain the MP4 file data, and a decoding unit to demultiplex the MP4 file data obtained by the data obtainment unit into pairs of a moov and a mdat and pairs of a moof and a mdat, and decode those pairs pair-by-pair. A content duration specification unit specifies the content total duration based on the content total duration information contained in the moov of the MP4 file data obtained by the data obtainment unit and a playback unit displays the content total duration specified by the content duration specification unit.

Demultiplexing device

A data conversion apparatus is provided with a temporary storage means for temporarily holding inputted variable-frame-rate coded data, a coded data time stamp reading means for reading a coded data time stamp of the inputted coded data, a time stamp conversion means for converting the coded data time stamp into an MP4 time stamp, and a fixed FPS means for converting the variable-frame-rate coded data into fixed-frame-rate coded data.
