An automatic developing apparatus which transports film while preventing treatment liquid from being passed up onto gears and the like located above the surface of the treatment liquid and which prevents treatment liquid from being oxidized or decreasing in quantity. A cylindrical shaft having an axis of rotation normal to a liquid surface of the treatment liquid is positioned so as to cross the liquid surface in order to transmit torque from above the liquid surface to below the liquid surface via a shaft. Since the shaft is rotated about the axis of rotation normal to the liquid surface, the treatment liquid in contact with the shaft is left in contact therewith at a specified height, thereby eliminating the likelihood that the treatment liquid is passed up onto bevel gears, etc. located above the liquid surface via the shaft. Further, the rotation of the shaft about its axis of rotation does not cause the treatment liquid near the liquid surface to be scooped up. This prevents the treatment liquid from being oxidized by mixing with air.

Automatic developing apparatus

A cleaning apparatus for cleaning photosensitive material (1) transported by a transport mechanism (26, 32) is disclosed. The apparatus includes a support portion (15) for supporting the photosensitive material from a back side thereof, a press roller (11) rotatable relative to the support portion for pressing the photosensitive material against the support portion, a drive mechanism (13) for rotatably driving the press roller and a control unit (30) for controlling rotational drive of the drive mechanism. The control unit (30) selectively provides a first mode where the photosensitive material is transported in association with rotation of the press roller and a second mode where a peripheral speed of the press roller is rendered different from a transport speed of the photosensitive material by the transport mechanism. In the second mode, dust present on the photosensitive material (1) is automatically removed by the press roller (11) due to friction generated between the surface of the photosensitive material (1) and the peripheral face of the press roller (11).

Cleaning apparatus for photosensitive material

A film container handling apparatus for handling a film container (51) including a film entrance/exit opening (61) which is selectable between a first condition providing an opening and a second condition providing a larger opening. The apparatus includes a holding portion (12a) for holding the film container. The apparatus further includes opening levers (82) and a first cam member (87a) for switching over the film entrance/exit opening (61) of the film container (51) as held at the holding portion (12a) from the first condition to the second condition, and a discharging plate (92) and a second cam member (87b) for discharging the film container (51) from the film holding portion (12a) after the film (47b) has been removed from the film container (51) under the second condition.
