According to an aspect, a display apparatus includes: a signal line or a scanning line coupled to a plurality of pixels arranged in a display region; a driver that supplies a drive signal via a resistor to the signal line or the scanning line; and an anomaly detector that monitors a response characteristic of a node between the resistor and the signal line or a node between the resistor and the scanning line.

Display apparatus

A method of terminating a pair of transmission lines is changed over by terminal setting. Display data is supplied to a master drive circuit and (n&#x2212;1)-pieces of drive circuits from a host computer via the pair of transmission lines in accordance with a differential serial transmission system. Each drive circuit includes an SELC terminal. When a voltage inputted to the SELC terminal is at a first voltage level, a resistor having a resistance value of Ra is connected between the pair of transmission lines in the master drive circuit thus terminating the pair of transmission lines, and the pair of transmission lines in the slave drive circuits is opened. When the voltage inputted to the SELC terminal is at a second voltage level which differs from the first voltage level, a resistor having a resistance value of (n&#xd7;Ra) is connected between the pair of transmission lines.

Display device

Provided is a drive circuit low in power consumption and high in display quality for a liquid crystal display device that is used in a small-sized portable device. The liquid crystal display device includes liquid crystal display elements and a liquid crystal driving circuit. The liquid crystal driving circuit is mounted to one of the four sides of a liquid crystal display panel, and is capable of outputting two-system counter electrode voltages. A variable resistor circuit having a resistance value which is variably adjusted by a register is used to correct and output a gray scale voltage according to a position of a relevant scanning signal line. Equalization is also performed by short-circuiting two counter electrode signal lines.

Liquid crystal display device

A display device used in a miniaturized portable equipment is capable of driving two display panels, consisting of main and sub-display panels. The display device includes a main display panel, a sub-display panel and a drive circuit. The drive circuit can simultaneously drive the main display panel and the sub-display panel. Output terminals are provided to the main display panel, and signals are transmitted to the sub-display panel from the output terminals. Further, the drive circuit includes a power source circuit which is capable of outputting proper common voltages to the main display panel and the sub-display panel.
