An embodiment of an tomographic image generating system may include: an imaging member that includes a radiation source, a radiation detector and a subject table, and captures the projected image a predetermined number of times while changing a positional relationship between the radiation source and the radiation detector; a reconstructing member that generates a tomographic image of the subject from the projected image captured by the imaging member; an acquiring member that acquires a thickness of the subject and/or a two-dimensional shape of a surface of the subject, the surface of the subject being irradiated with radiation; and a controlling member that determines an imaging condition for the imaging member and/or a reconstructing condition for the reconstructing member generating the tomographic image of the subject, on the basis of the thickness and/or the two-dimensional shape of the subject acquired by the acquiring member.

Tomographic image generating system comprising a three-dimensional camera for aquiring a thickness and/or a two-dimensional shape of a surface of a subject

A tomography system includes a radiation source, a radiation detector, a subject table, an imaging unit and a reconstruction unit. The imaging unit obtains a projection image a predetermined number of times while changing a positional relationship of the radiation source and the radiation detector. The reconstruction unit generates a tomogram of a subject using the projection image obtained by the imaging unit. The reconstruction unit includes a correction unit. The correction unit performs correction processing to (i) create a profile of a pixel signal value from a no-subject-included projection image obtained by the imaging unit without the subject on the subject table and (ii) correct, on the basis of the created profile, a subject-included projection image obtained by the imaging unit with the subject on the subject table or a detection probability used in generating the tomogram.

An image processing apparatus, comprising: an exposing device for exposing an image forming material so as to form a latent image on the image forming material based on image data; a developing device for developing and visualizing the latent image on the exposed image forming material so as to form an image; a measuring device for measuring the image density of the image on the developed image forming material; a calibrating device for forming a table to define a relation between an image signal and image density on the basis of plural different test image data and measured-image densities thereof; a storing device for storing a characteristic change model indicating a characteristic change of at least one of the exposing device and the developing device with time; a difference calculating device to calculate a density difference on the basis of the characteristic change model between the time of forming the table and the time of forming an image based on image signal of diagnostic image data; and a correcting device for correcting the table on the basis of the density difference calculated by the difference calculating device.

A density adjustment method for adjusting a density of a diagnostic image, having the steps of; exposing an image; developing the latent image; measuring a density of the developed image; creating a lookup table for relating the diagnostic image data and amount of exposure so as to form a density specified by the diagnostic image data; and correcting at least one of an exposure condition and a development condition to ensure that the next film has the optimized density, based on the difference between the measured density of a partial area of the film, and a density for comparison; wherein, a density of a prescribed area in a test exposure image is used as the density for comparison; while the exposure amount is used for exposing the partial area of the film at the time of forming a diagnostic image.
