Provided is a polypropylene resin foam-molded article which has a rib having a relatively small thickness and which has an improved strength at a boundary part between a main body part and the rib part without increasing a thickness of the rib part. The polypropylene resin foam-molded article is obtained by molding a material for a foam-molded article using a polypropylene resin, wherein the molded article comprises a main body part and a rib part provided vertically to the main body part; the rib part has a thickness (T ) of 3 mm or less, or a thickness ratio (T /T ) of a thickness of the rib part (T ) to a thickness of the main body part (T ) is 0.8 or less; the main body part and the rib part each comprise a non-foamed surface layer and an intermediate layer having a foamed structure; and the intermediate layer in the main body part is connected to the intermediate layer in the rib part. It is molded from the material for a foam-molded article using a polypropylene resin in which a melt flow rate and a melt tension satisfy a fixed relation.

The present invention relates to a film using a polypropylene composition comprising crystalline polypropylene and a copolymer of propylene with &agr;-olefin in which a limiting viscosity of the said copolymer &lsqb;&eegr;&rsqb; is not more than 6.5 dl/g; the ratio of the limiting viscosity of the said polymer &lsqb;&eegr;&rsqb; to the limiting viscosity of the said crystalline polypropylene &lsqb;&eegr;&rsqb; is from 0.6 to 1.2; and the product i.e. (&lsqb;&eegr;&rsqb; /&lsqb;&eegr;&rsqb; )&times;(W /W ), of the ratio of the limiting viscosity of the copolymer to the crystalline polypropylene with the ratio by weight of them is within a range of from 0.2 to 4.5 and also relates to a multi-layered film having at least one layer of the said film.

Disclosed is a process for producing olefin polymers or copolymers which can freely regulates the molecular weight of the polymers or copolymers as well as novel olefin polymers or copolymers excellent in rigidity, heat-resisting property and transparency, moldings and compositions thereof which find a wide variety of applications in versatile industrial parts including containers, films, sheets, filaments or fibers, featured by (1) a process for producing olefin polymers or copolymers by the aid of a catalyst comprised predominantly of the compounds: (A) a transition metal compound of the formula: Q(C H R )(C H R )MXY, (B) an aluminoxane, (C) a fine particulate carrier, and (D) an organoaluminum compound; (2) olefin polymers or copolymers characterized by (a) a specific ratio of isotactic pentad, (b) 2,1- and 1.3-propylene units contents in the polymer chain, (c) a specific Mw, (d) a specific Mw/Mn, and (e) in case of elevating temperature of o-dichlorobenzene continuously or stepwise up to given temperatures to measure the amount of eluated polyolefin at each temperature, the position of a main elution peak and the amount of components existing in the range of &plusmn;10&deg; C. of the main elution peak; (3) injection moldings, films, filaments or fibers, and non-woven fabric of the polypropylene obtained; and (4) a composition comprising the polypropylene obtained and an &agr;-nucleating agent or a composition comprising the polypropylene and a radical generator and having been produced by subjecting to the mixture to melt-kneading.

A polyolefin resin composition for metallized films, having superior high-impact properties and heat-sealability and also superior printability and adhesive properties of metallized surface and further a good taken-up figure of rolled film is provided, which composition is obtained by blending a crystalline propylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer containing 70% by weight or more of propylene component and having a crystalline m.p. of 150.degree. C. or lower, with a high density polyethylene having a density of 0.940 g/cm.sup.3 or higher, in blending ratios of 96 to 80% by weight of the copolymer and 4 to 20% by weight of the polyethylene, the ratio of the melt flow rate of the polyethylene to that of the copolymer being .gtoreq.0.7.
