In a semiconductor device which has an air tight metal package containing a high frequency wave range circuit element and which has a waveguide-coaxial line transformation structure, a metal terminal for the waveguide-coaxial line is air-tightly attached directly in a hole of a base of the metal package with a dielectric spacer, usually by glass fusion, whereby the thickness of the base may be reduced and attachment of the terminal to the base is simplified.

Semiconductor device having waveguide-coaxial line transformation

A power supply circuit which comprises a first power source terminal for applying a plus voltage and a second power source terminal for applying a minus voltage. A first transistor is inserted between the first power source terminal and a load. A second transistor is inserted between a base of the first transistor and a ground potential and is controlled by the voltages applied to the first and second power source terminals. A capacitor is connected to the second power source and ground potential. A sequence of applying or cutting-off voltages to be applied to the load is predetermined even when a sequence of applying or cutting-off the voltages from said first and second power source terminals becomes erratic.

Disclosed is a bias circuit of an amplifier for a microwave circuit, which amplifier is comprised of a pair of amplifier modules and at least one directional quadrature coupler having four ports including an isolation port, wherein the bias circuit is connected to the isolation port of the directional quadrature coupler.
