A heterocyclic compound of the formula, ##STR1## wherein A and B are each hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy, R.sup.1 is alkylene having upto 6 carbon atoms, X is direct linkage or divalent group such as --O--, --S--and the like, T and U are each hydrogen or alkyl, l is 0 or 1 to 3, Q is 5-, 6- or 7- membered saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic residue, and Y is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or ##STR2## and B are taken together with each other to form methylene-dioxy, which is useful for dyeing or printing hydrophobic fiber materials with superior dyeability to give a dyed or printed product of a red color excellent in fastness properties, particularly those such as washing fastness.

A mat base plate for use with a shrinkable mat is shown including an upstanding rim extending around a floor of the mat base plate. The rim has a plateau surface at the top thereof, an outer wall and a slope extending from said plateau, continuously to the bottom of the mat-receiving basin that is constituted by the rim and floor of the mat base plate. The mat base plate which is intended for use as a substrate for a door mat includes an outer peripheral rim, a plurality of concentric annular steps from the outer peripheral rim inwardly and downwardly and a central well to provide an aesthetic appearance for the plate/plate combination even when a shrunken mat is placed on the plate.

Mat-base assembly comprises a base including a sheet integrally formed of an elastomeric polymer, a picture frame-like projection formed on the periphery of the sheet and a mat-containing portion formed on the inner side of the peripheral projection, a dust-controlling mat contained in the mat-containing portion and a temporary anchoring mechanism for anchoring detachably the base and mat at a plurality of points on the peripheral edge of the sheet, wherein an anchoring element comprising engaging pieces implanted on a base fabric is fixed to the base, a fiber loop element engageable with the engaging pieces is sewn to the mat and the peripheral portion of the anchoring element is fusion-bonded to the base sheet while in the remaining portion of the anchoring element, the engaging pieces are left as they are. In this mat-base assembly, the durability of the anchoring mechanism is highly improved and good adaptability to the operation of attaching and detaching the dust-controlling mat is maintained for a long time. Furthermore, movement of the dust-controlling mat or roll-up of the corner portion of the mat can effectively be prevented.
