Provided is an electric storage device including: an electric storage unit; a temperature measurement unit that detects the temperature of the electric storage unit; a current measurement unit that measures the charge/discharge current of the electric storage unit; and a safety evaluation unit that calculates the safety evaluation value of the electric storage unit, where the safety evaluation unit determines a temperature range to which the temperature detected by the temperature measurement unit belongs among multiple temperature ranges, and calculates a safety evaluation value, based on the temperature range as a result of the determination and an accumulated value of a value related to the charge/discharge time of the electric storage unit.

A motor includes a bus bar assembly including a bus bar, a wiring member, and a bus bar holder. The bus bar holder includes a main body portion, a bottom portion, and a first circuit board support portion. The wiring member includes a circuit board connection terminal electrically connected to the circuit board. The circuit board connection terminal includes a contact portion connected to the circuit board, and applies force to the circuit board through the contact portion. The first circuit board support portion is disposed at a region of the bottom portion to define a side at which the circuit board connection terminal is located when viewed from one direction. The first circuit board support portion and the contact portion are located at different positions when viewed from the one direction.

A case includes a cylindrical housing arranged to hold a stator, and having an opening portion at a top thereof; and a motor cover fitted to an upper side of the housing, and arranged to cover an upper side of the stator. A busbar unit includes a sensor busbar electrically connected to a rotation sensor, and a busbar holder arranged at the opening portion to hold the sensor busbar. The case includes a case through hole arranged to open into a space outside of the case. The busbar holder includes a cylindrical holder body portion having at least a portion thereof arranged radially inside of the opening portion; and a protruding portion arranged to protrude out of the case, and having at least a portion thereof arranged in the case through hole. A gap is defined circumferentially between the protruding portion and an edge of the case through hole.

A motor may include a stator having coil groups of plural phases and a connector, the stator comprising a plurality of split stators. Each of the split stators may include a split core having an arc-shaped core back section and a tooth section, an insulator, a coil which has a lead-out line that is connected to the connector. The insulator may have a first void extending between a first inner wall and a first outer wall. The first inner wall may have a lead-in groove. The stator may have a support ring disposed on the upper side of the first void. The support ring may have a second void extending between a second inner wall and a second outer wall. A plurality of lead-out lines of different phases may respectively accommodated in the first void and the second void.

In a busbar unit, which is a distributing device arranged to supply electrical currents to coils, a busbar holder is arranged to support coil connection busbars and sensor connection busbars. Conductor wire connection portions of the coil connection busbars are exposed on both axial sides and welded to a conductor wire defining the coils. The sensor connection busbars are combined with a plurality of electronic components to define a Hall IC circuit designed to output and receive electrical signals to or from Hall ICs. Sensor connection portions of the sensor connection busbars are exposed on both axial sides, and welded to terminals of the Hall ICs. Electronic component connection portions of the sensor connection busbars are exposed on both axial sides, and welded to the electronic components.

In a busbar unit, which is a distributing device arranged to supply electrical currents to coils, a busbar holder is arranged to support coil connection busbars and sensor connection busbars. A bottom surface portion of a busbar holder body portion includes a bearing holder holding a bearing defined therein, and includes resistors and capacitors defining a portion of a Hall IC circuit arranged thereon. The Hall IC circuit is arranged to input and output electrical signals to or from Hall ICs. An upper surface portion includes sensor holders each holding a separate one of the Hall ICs defined therein. A connector portion is arranged to project radially outward from the busbar holder body portion. The sensor connection busbars and each of the coil connection busbars are arranged one above another along an axial direction.

In a rotor unit of a motor, field magnets are inserted into respective magnet holding holes of a rotor core. End plates are arranged on the upper and lower end surfaces of the rotor core to cover the magnets holding holes. Each of the end plates preferably has three bent portions extending perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the radial direction, the three bent portions being arranged circumferentially. The bent portions are preferably formed through press working such that they are protruded toward the rotor core. The rotor core includes end plate fixing holes. End plates are preferably fixed to the rotor core by press-fitting the bent portions into the respective end plate fixing holes while allowing side surfaces of the bent portions to make contact with inner surfaces of the end plate fixing holes. Accordingly, the end plates can easily be fixed to the rotor core without increasing the axial size of the rotor unit.

A straight line portion of a substantially U-shaped angular wire having a substantially rectangular cross section and a straight line portion of a substantially U-shaped round wire having a substantially circular cross section are accommodated at a slot arranged at a stator of a motor. The round wire is arranged at a more radially inward portion of the slot than the angular wire is. The connecting portion of the round wire is arranged radially inwardly of the straight line portion thereof. The connecting portion of the angular wire is arranged radially outwardly of the straight line portion thereof.

The wires include a line portion, and a connecting end portion having a substantially columnar shape protruding from an end surface of the line portion. A recording disk drive motor is disclosed which is employed in a recording disk drive that retains a removable recording disk that has a diameter of 30 mm or less, as well as a method of manufacturing a stator core used in the same. The core back of the stator core in the motor has an arc shaped inner circumferential surface therein that is offset from the center thereof. The stator core is produced from a laminated body having a stator core, a chuck frame that is integral with and surrounds the stator core, and connector arms that connect the stator core and the chuck frame and integral therewith. After the windings are wound around the stator teeth, the stator core is cut from each connecting arm and the stator core is removed from the chuck frame.

A stator core stack formed by laminating a plurality of straight cores having a core back, a tooth, and a linking part for linking the core backs. In the stator core stack, the linking portion is folded and deformed the linking portion so as to join an end surfaces of the straight core, and a core back outer peripheral portion is formed at the back side of the core back, and the diameter of the core back outer peripheral portion is formed same as or shorter than the diameter of the inner peripheral surface of the housing, and is disposed in the housing. A bar-like member is press-fitted in the axial direction between both the end surfaces of the straight core. In other example of motor, an engaging portion extending in the axial direction and projecting in the radial inward direction is formed in the inner peripheral surface of the housing, and the end surfaces of the straight core are engaged or fitted with the engaging portion.

An actuator, a vehicle mounted radar device, and an automobile drive control system that employ a non-contact type potentiometer to detect a rotation angle of a rotary shaft. The non-contact type potentiometer includes a pair of planar magnets disposed opposite and parallel with respect to each other on a U-shaped magnetic yoke, the polarities of the magnets being arranged such that approximately parallel magnetic fields are formed around a magnetic detection element that is retained on a support shaft connected to a rotary shaft on an actuator, and can freely rotate relative to the stationary member. By rotating the rotary shaft on the actuator, a change in the output from the magnetic detection element occurs, thus allowing a rotation angle of the rotary shaft to be detected.
