The present invention provides an aqueous pigment dispersion liquid being such that a pigment is finely dispersed, and the viscosity, and the particle diameters of the pigment are unlikely to fluctuate, being excellent in storage stability, and enabling preparation of an emulsion-polymerized toner having properly controlled particle diameters while improving the pigment utilization rate. The aqueous pigment dispersion liquid is an aqueous pigment dispersion liquid for an emulsion-polymerized toner containing a pigment, a dispersant, and an aqueous medium. The dispersant is a polymer containing a constitutional unit (A) derived from a monomer (A) such that a group containing a (meth)acryloyloxy group or the like is bonded to one end of a particular polyethylene glycol chain or the like, and a constitutional unit (B) derived from a monomer (B) having a carboxy group or the like, the polymer has a number average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene of 4,000 to 15,000, as measured by gel permeation chromatography, the polymer is contained in a state of being not ionized substantially, and the aqueous pigment dispersion liquid has a pH of 3.0 to 8.4.

Aqueous pigment dispersion liquid

A medical suturing instrument in which the movement of an operation part is transmitted with a time lag to a loop forming part and a suture thread by means of a loop feed/return mechanism and a suture thread feed mechanism, and once a loop has been fed out from the tip end of a loop introduction needle, the suture thread is fed out from the tip end of a suture thread introduction needle.

Medical suturing instrument

The present disclosure is directed to an indwelling needle set which includes a needle tip protector device which adds a minimal length to the needle set to maintain operability of the device. To accomplish this, a needle tip protector device is provided for releasable attachment to the needle set. The protector device includes a body and a protecting sleeve which is movable through an opening in the body from an advanced position located substantially within the body to a retracted position extending rearwardly from the body. The protecting sleeve is dimensioned to slidably receive a puncturing needle which includes an increased diameter position which cannot be withdrawn through the protecting sleeve.

Needle tip protector

A medical stopcock which allows easier switching operation of plural branch-tubes. The main body of the stopcock comprises a chamber part with a nearly spherical inner surface, and an upstream branch-tube, a downstream branch-tube and a merge-branch-tube all extending from the chamber part. A valve body of the stopcock comprises a nearly spherical valve main body and a rod-shaped operating part with a guide hole linking the inner surface of the chamber part to the outside. In operation, the rod-shaped operating part is moved along the guide hole through the use of the horizontal flow passages and the vertical flow passage to allow the predetermined branch-tubes out of the upstream branch-tube, the downstream branch-tube and the merge-branch-tube to communicate with one another or to shut-off the communication.

Stopcock valve

A closable male luer connector is provided in which an inner portion within the spigot of the connector is movable from a sealing position to an open position on connection of the connector to a female luer connector wherein the movement of the inner portion may be caused by, for example, action of the female connector on a projecting arm or a screw thread arrangement.

A medical tube set includes a tube and a stylet that improves the insertability of tube. The stylet structure comprises an inner core that can be inserted into the tube, an apical tip that is affixed to the apical end of inner core, and a movable expansion member that can move between apical tip of inner core and stop that is provided at a predetermined distance from apical tip. An engagement is formed at the posterior end of apical tip, and is able to engage the apical end of tube. By positioning movable expansion member within apical end of tube, apical end can expand radially outwards so that apical tip can pass through.

Signal processing method and signal processing apparatus

A male luer connector to prevent generation of bacteria and waste of medicinal liquid. The male luer connector comprises a basal end and a tip end rotatable relative to the basal end; the male luer part is tapered and rotatable within the tip end. The outer peripheral surface of the tip end is decreased from the rear side to the front side; and a stick-like male luer occluding portion is provided within the male luer part which can tightly occlude liquid from the tip end opening of the male luer part. An internal thread portion is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the basal end and an external thread, helically engaged with the internal thread, is provided to the rear end portion of the male lure, whereby the tip end opening can be opened or closed by rotating the tip end relative to the basal end.

Male luer connector

A connector has a connection port closed by a sealing member. The connection port is attached to a first body portion which in turn is connected to a second body portion by an elastic bellows. When a Luer connector is withdrawn from the port, the bellows first extends and then retracts creating an overpressure within the connector.

Switch

A membrane switch is actuated by pressure transmitted from a movable key member through two coaxial springs connected end-to-end. A first of the two springs is held by the key member in a partially strained state requiring an initial force to strain it further. The second spring, smaller in diameter and stiffer than the first, has a free end at which force is applied to the membrane switch. As a top of the key member is pressed, the free end of the second spring moves toward, touches, then presses the membrane switch. Force builds rapidly with displacement in the small spring until it reaches the initial force under which the first spring is retained. This initial force is made roughly equal to the force required to actuate the membrane switch. After that point, the force-displacement characteristic is that of the two-spring combination, which is less stiff than the second spring alone. Thus, long key travel is permitted while the actuation force is reached early in the displacement of the key member. In one embodiment, a resilient boot, covering a key stem of the key switch, buckles when the key is pressed to provide a click-like feedback to an operator.

Key switch

A double-axis key switch has a key cap with a pair of key stems which slide into a housing to actuate a pair of switches. The key stems are slightly out of parallel so that the axes of the key stems meet in a direction of stroke relative to the key cap. However, the sleeves, into which the key stems insert, are parallel. When the key cap is pressed off-center, causing tilting of the key cap, one key stem advances ahead of the other. Because of the relative positions of the axes, binding forces increase in the leading key stem and decrease in the following stem. The asymmetry of the binding forces tends to correct the tilting of the key cap so that the key cap advances symmetrically and smoothly.
