Polymerizable (photosensitive or reactive) cyano-containing compound, a dye, and colored photosensitive composition

Disclosed is a colored (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition using a compound that is excellent in solubility and heat-resistance in a resin composition, and also relates to an optical filter using the colored (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition, specifically a color filter that does not decrease luminance and thus is preferable for image display devices such as liquid crystal display panels. Specifically, disclosed is a colored (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition containing (A) a dye that contains at least one kind of compound represented by any of the general formulas (1) to (4), (B) a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond or (B') a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, which has alkali-developability, and (C) a photopolymerization initiator, and use of the composition. The compound represented by any of the general formulas (1) to (4) is as described.

Colored photosensitive composition

A color conversion filter contains at least one kind of squarylium dye that radiates fluorescence light, has a wavelength conversion capability, absorbs light in an unneeded wavelength region, radiates fluorescence light in a preferable wavelength region, and does not allow decrease in brightness, and thus is preferable for color conversion light-emitting devices, photoelectric conversion devices and the like. Specifically, the color conversion filter has an absorption having a high intensity in the range of 570 to 600 nm, and thus is preferable for use in a color conversion filter that radiates fluorescence light having a high intensity in the range of 600 to 780 nm.

The present invention provides a dye that is excellent in solubility and heat-resistance, and a novel compound that is suitable for the dye, and specifically provides a yellow dye having a maximum absorption wavelength in the region of 420 to 470 nm. Furthermore, the present invention provides a colored (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition and an optical filter using the dye, and specifically provides a color filter that does not decrease luminance and thus is preferable for an image display device such as a liquid crystal display panel. Specifically, the present invention provides a novel compound represented by the following general formula (1), a dye using the compound, and a colored (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition and a color filter. The content of the above-mentioned general formula (1) is as described in the description.

The present invention provides a color tone correcting agent having suitable heat resistance for use in an optical filter, a novel squarylium compound that is specifically preferable as the color tone correcting agent, and an optical filter including the color tone correcting agent. Specifically, the present invention provides a color tone correcting agent including a squarylium compound represented by the general formula (1), a novel squarylium compound which is represented by the general formula (4) and is preferable as the color tone correcting agent, and an optical filter including the color tone correcting agent. The general formula (1) and (4) are each as defined in the specification.

The present invention provides a dye that is excellent in solubility and excellent in heat resistance and a novel compound that is preferable for the dye, and specifically provides a yellow dye having a wavelength of maximum absorption in the region of 400 to 450 nm, and also provides a coloring (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition using the above-mentioned dye, and an optical filter using the above-mentioned coloring (alkali-developable) photosensitive composition, specifically a color filter that does not decrease luminance and thus is preferable for image display devices such as liquid crystal display panels. Specifically, a compound represented by the following general formula (1) is used as the dye. The content of the above-mentioned general formula (1) is as described in the description.

Dye and coloring photosensitive composition

A near-infrared-ray absorbing material containing a cyanine compound per formula (I) exhibits a sharp light absorption in wavelength range 800-1000 nm, with excellent light resistance. R- R, Y, Yrepresents hydrogen atom, a group of formula (II) or (II'), etc., and Anrepresents a q-valent anion, provided that at least Ris a group of formula (II) or (II&#x2032;) or Anis an ion of formula (III); R- Reach represents a hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, etc.; Z, Zrepresents a Calkyl group, etc. In formula (II&#x2032;), the bond between G&#x2032; and T&#x2032; is a double bond or a conjugated double bond; G&#x2032; represents a carbon atom; T&#x2032; represents a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom; the ring including G&#x2032; and T&#x2032; represents a 6-membered ring, etc.; w&#x2032; is 0-4; and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, hydroxy, etc. In formula (III), Rand Rrepresents a halogen-substituted Calkyl group.

A color correction material contains at least one type of cyanine compound composed of a cyanine cation represented by general formula (I) below (wherein the symbols are as defined in the description) and a q-valent anion represented by pAn(wherein the symbols are as defined in the description), and at least one type of layered clay mineral; or a color correction material containing a clay mineral composite obtained by intercalating a cyanine cation represented by general formula (I) below, or preferably the cyanine cation and an organic cation, into a layered clay mineral. Also described is a film-forming composition containing the color correction material and an optical filter having a layer composed of the film-forming composition.  Ring A represents a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring; X represents CRR, NR, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or a selenium atom.
