The present invention provides an impact absorbing flooring that reduces an impact caused by falling of a user. The impact absorbing flooring includes a structural layer having a plurality of impact absorbing structures, each of which is a truncated pyramid-shaped structure and has a recess on a side of the truncated pyramid that is substantially not horizontal to a ground surface.

Impact absorbing flooring

A left suspension unit supports a left wheel. A right suspension unit supports a right wheel. A steering actuator imparts a force causing the left suspension unit and the right suspension unit to turn about a left steering axis and a right steering axis respectively to a steering force transmission mechanism. A leaning actuator imparts a force causing a body frame to lean leftward or rightward of a leaning vehicle to a link mechanism. A control unit is capable of selecting a first mode wherein both of the steering actuator and the leaning actuator are employed, and a second mode wherein the steering actuator is employed without employing the leaning actuator, in order to control a leaning angle of the body frame in cooperation with a steering mechanism.

Leaning vehicle

A leaning vehicle is equipped with a double wishbone (DWB) type suspension apparatus capable of improving comfort felt by an operator In the leaning vehicle, a connecting member is provided such that a first distance is smaller than a second distance. A distance from the connecting member to a hip point of an operator seat in a leaning-vehicle front-back direction is larger than a distance from the connecting member to a rotational center axis of each axle of a left rear wheel and a right rear wheel in the leaning vehicle front-back direction.

A vehicle includes a right front wheel, a left front wheel, a brake operator, grips, and a steering force transmission which transmits a steering force to the right front wheel and the left front wheel. The steering force transmission includes a steering shaft, a handlebar, and a tie rod. Brake operators, which operate the brakes, and the grips are located on the handlebar, and a rubber damper located on the steering force transmission significantly reduces or prevents vibrations from being transmitted to the grips, wherein the vibrations are due to a difference between a frictional force generated between the right front wheel and a corresponding road surface and a frictional force generated between the left front wheel and a corresponding road surface.

Vehicle

A brake controlling operation transmission member includes a leaning-associated deforming portion that deforms in response to turning of a body frame. A vehicle includes at least a portion of the leaning-associated deforming portion located between a first restrictor located below a lower cross portion in relation to an up-and-down direction of the body frame and a central portion in a left-and-right direction of the body frame so as to prevent movement of the brake controlling operation transmission member and a brake device.

A vehicle includes a body frame, a left front wheel and a right front wheel, a link mechanism configured to be deformed as a vehicle body leans, and vehicle components disposed directly forward of the link mechanism in relation to a front-and-rear direction of the vehicle. The vehicle components are supported on the body frame via penetrating portions that extend from the body frame toward the front of the vehicle and penetrate the link mechanism.

A suspension device includes two telescopic elements and achieves reduction in a size of a vehicle including the suspension device while securing rigidity sufficient to endure a load applied from a road surface to a wheel supported by the suspension device. A second outer member is smaller than a first outer member and is connected to the first outer member via a first connection portion and a second connection portion arranged in the extension/contraction direction of a second telescopic element, the second outer member is connected to the first outer member via a first connection portion and a second connection portion arranged in the extension/contraction direction of the second telescopic element.

Suspension device

A vehicle includes a restrictor that prevents movement of a brake controlling operation transmission member and is provided at an upper portion of at least one of an upper cross portion, a right side portion, and a left side portion. The brake controlling operation transmission member includes a leaning-associated deforming portion that is located between a brake controller and the restrictor to deform in response to the leaning of a body frame and a wheel-turning-associated deforming portion at least a portion of which is located between the leaning-associated deforming portion and a brake device to deform in response to the turning of a right front wheel and a left front wheel.

An excessive torque restricting mechanism restricts a magnitude of a torque which is to be transmitted from a steering shaft to a connecting mechanism including a tie rod, a magnitude of a torque which is to be transmitted from a left shock absorbing mechanism to the connecting mechanism, and a magnitude of a torque which is to be transmitted from a right shock absorbing mechanism to the connecting mechanism.

In a vehicle, a size of an acute angle &#x3b8;L defined by a virtual plane perpendicularly or substantially perpendicularly intersecting with an upper axis and a lower axis of a cross member and a up-and-down direction of a vehicle body frame is smaller than sizes of an acute angle &#x3b8;TR and an acute angle &#x3b8;TL which are defined by an expansion and contraction direction of telescopic elements and the up-and-down direction of the vehicle body frame, and an acute angle &#x3b8;SR and an acute angle &#x3b8;SL which are defined by axes of side rods and the up-and-down direction of the vehicle body frame. The sizes of the acute angle &#x3b8;TR and the acute angle &#x3b8;TL are greater than the size of the acute angle &#x3b8;L defined by the virtual plane perpendicularly or substantially perpendicularly intersecting with the upper axis and the lower axis of the cross member and the up-and-down direction of the vehicle body frame, and are equivalent to or smaller than the sizes of the acute angle &#x3b8;SR and the acute angle &#x3b8;SL.

A vehicle prevents interference of a right lamp and a left lamp with a link mechanism without increasing the size of the vehicle in its width direction. A right link side portion of a right lamp is located on the right of a locus along which a link mechanism extends when an upper cross portion turns when looking at the vehicle from the front of an upper middle axis. At least a portion of the right link side portion is located on the left of a right end portion of a body cover, above the upper middle axis, and below an upper end portion of the link mechanism that results when the upper cross portion turns clockwise to a maximum extent relative to a body frame, when looking at the vehicle from the front of the upper middle axis.

A vehicle includes a center transmission plate, a first center turnable portion configured to turn about a first center turning axis extending in an up-down direction, a second center turnable portion configured to turn about a second center turning axis extending in a front-rear direction, a left transmission plate, a first left turnable portion configured to turn about a first left turning axis extending in the up-down direction, a second left turnable portion configured to turn about a second left turning axis extending in the front-rear direction, a right transmission plate, a first right turnable portion configured to turn about a first right turning axis extending in the up-down direction, and a second right turnable portion configured to turn about a second right turning axis extending in the front-rear direction. A tie rod is supported on the second center turnable portion, the second left turnable portion, and the second right turnable portion.

At least a portion of a tie rod of a steering force transmitting mechanism overlaps with a portion of a first support member or a second support member when viewed from a front of a vehicle in a fully-tilted condition in which the vehicle body frame is fully tilted in the left-right direction. At least a portion of the tie rod is disposed below a second cross member, above a first front wheel and a second front wheel, behind a front end of the first front wheel and a front end of the second front wheel, and ahead of a first axis of a first side member and a second axis of a second side member when viewed from the left or right of the vehicle when the vehicle body frame is in an upright state.

A vehicle includes a body frame that leans, two front wheels, a link mechanism, and a hydraulic unit. The link mechanism includes cross members and is supported on a link support portion of the body frame. The hydraulic unit is smaller than a cross member movable area where the cross members move relative to the body frame as seen from the direction of middle axes of the cross members. The hydraulic unit overlaps at least a portion of the cross member movable area and at least a portion of external vehicle components as seen from the direction of the middle axes and between the cross member movable area and the external vehicle components in relation to the direction of the middle axes. The hydraulic unit is supported on the link support portion of the body frame that supports the link mechanism.

A body cover includes an outer surface covering portion that covers at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of a link mechanism excluding an upper surface and a lower surface thereof. When the vehicle is in the upright state, at least portions of a leaning associated deforming portion of a brake controlling operation transmission member that deform in association with the leaning of a body frame are positioned between the outer peripheral surface of the link mechanism, excluding the upper surface and the lower surface thereof, and the outer surface covering portion.
