In an automatic parking system, a marker recognizing unit performs recognition of a predetermined number of markers located respectively at predetermined locations in a parking garage. A marker deter miner performs determination of whether there is a problem in recognition of at least one marker in the predetermined number of markers in accordance with information resulting from the recognition performed by the marker detector. An output unit outputs marker state information resulting from the determination performed by the marker determiner.

An automated parking system includes an automated parking vehicle and an information terminal. The vehicle includes a parking control device and a communication device. The parking control device controls the vehicle to cause the vehicle to search for and park in a vacant parking slot by means of autonomous travel. The communication device transmits automated parking status information to the information terminal when no vacant parking slot is found. Furthermore, the communication device receives an instruction about status control of the vehicle from the information terminal. The information terminal includes a communication device. The parking control device controls the vehicle according to the instruction about the status control of the vehicle that has been received from the information terminal.

A driving assistance device includes a travel information acquisition unit, a first information acquisition unit, a second information acquisition unit, a collision determination unit, a driving control unit, a presence determination unit, and an early control unit. When the presence determination unit determines that a moving object is present ahead of the own vehicle in its traveling direction in a case where the moving object is not detected by a detection device which is mounted on the own vehicle, the early control unit performs early control for advancing a timing at which the moving object is detected by the detection device and the driving control unit performs control so that the own vehicle performs avoidance driving action.

A traveling assistance apparatus recognizes a travel road on which a vehicle is traveling, acquires a traveling state of the vehicle, and determines whether or not the vehicle will deviate from the travel road based on the recognition result of the travel road and the traveling state of the vehicle. The apparatus determines whether to perform, as a prevention method for preventing from the travel road, a method in which either of steering control and brake control of the vehicle is performed, or a method in which a period over which either of the steering control and the brake control is performed and a period over which both of the steering control and the brake control are performed are set. The apparatus sets a steering amount for the steering control and a brake amount for the brake control when the deviation prevention control is performed based on the prevention method.
